    Who's Finest?

Wonderful story about a little known corner of activity (film production/its writers) during England's darkest times.

    Their Finest

Unexpected joy. It's not a comic novel, but it teems with comical, pithy word pictures. I was born 6 years post-WW II, so it's not my story, but it's a great PRESS ON! story.

    Their Finest

It took me several chapters to get into the writing style. Although I enjoy books with lots of characters I did find that the author's style jumped abruptly between characters quickly and could be a bit confusing. Once you find the flow it was sad and funny and clever. A story of different people crossing paths in London during the war. A mix of people that aren't often stars of books.
