    4.5+ stars- Ridicuously good

This series is just…wow! The Big Bad Wolf books have all my favorite things: great characters, witty banter that makes me smile, accessible romance, suspense that keeps me guessing, and stellar writing tying all those aspects together. Thrown to the Wolves marks the third book in the series featuring established couple Oliver and Cooper. Although the author does a great job refreshing scenes and relationships, I do think this is one that reads best in order. I loved the premise of Thrown to the Wolves- seeing the men’s relationship continue to deepen while gaining a better understanding of Oliver’s history and his pack all capped with an ending I hadn’t seen coming. Thrown to the Wolves follows Oliver and Cooper to the Park family homestead for his grandfather’s funeral. There the couple is faced with all sorts of stressors including family power struggles, the pack’s acceptance of Cooper, a potential hunter threatening their family land, and loads of secrets being revealed. The drama surrounding these storylines certainly tests the couple and I enjoyed seeing the relationship dynamic shift and develop over the course of this book. I love that despite being a shifter fantasy novel, the romance and relationship concerns are honest and relatable rather than it being simply fueled by an “irresistible bond” pulling the men together. It’s easy to care about these two and by the end I definitely felt I had a much better understanding of Park and what his stakes in the relationship are. Then there’s the case. Each book has left me guessing and Thrown to the Wolves was no different. I loved the twists and surprises that kept popping up and was utterly glued to my kindle cover to cover. There is a lot going on in the book and loads of secondary characters and relationships to track, but I never felt overwhelmed with information or that it didn’t all fit within the storyline. Thrown to the Wolves is an easy recommendation that ticks all my boxes- from the pacing to the dialogue and the action scenes to the love scenes…I’m simply left excited for the next one. *Reviewed for Alpha Book Club*

    Thrown to the Wolves

Great third book in the series. Plenty of danger, drama, and werewolves. I continue to root for Oliver and Cooper. More please.

    Great follow up book

As the first two books in this series, this is a phantastic read again. There are so much new and exciting revelations here, about Oliver and Cooper, but most of all about the Park family and Oliver‘s place in it. I really hope that there will be many more books to come in this series. For me it‘s one of the best and most original series in this genre. Highly recommended!

    Thoroughly enjoyable

In this third instalment of Big Bad Wolf, Cooper and Park have a road trip to Nova Scotia for the funeral of Park’s grandfather. Their relationship is just as stable as both men try to sort out what it means to be together in a world where one has to hide who he is constantly. Cooper struggles to understand Park reticence and tries not to pressure Park in to more for fear of being left. However, when the couple and Boogie arrive in Nova Scotia, Cooper and Park are victims of brake tampering and learn that all is not as it seems. Humans have been spotted on the complex land and there’s a possibility that there has been a murder. It also shows that Park forgot to mention a few things to his family about Cooper and Cooper has to navigate what it means to be a human in a werewolf family. But through out all of this, their love for each other is strong and able to withstand Park’s omissions and Cooper’s need to solve the various crimes. Charlie Amhara keeps the book moving and you are given all the twists and turns of Family Manor mystery. You question all of the relatives and it’s fantastic. The surprise ending was a great twist. I hope Charlie comes out with more Coop and Park books.

    Can love endure

Cooper is finally going to meet his boyfriend's family. This is normally hard under average circumstances but add the fact that said family are werewolves and the stress level hits the ceiling. Cooper bites the bullet and plasters a huge smile on his face while carrying his precious cat to his boyfriend's Park's home. Murder, deception and territorial wars are what welcomes Cooper. This is a fast paced and riveting read. Can a human who deeply loves his were mate make it with these unconventional family dynamics? Park and Cooper sizzle together and desperately cling to each other as a series of disturbing events threaten their relationship. I highly recommend this novel full of action, snarkiness and the belief that love is the thread that holds you together.
