    Emotional, intriguing, and scintillating!

Oh, Cooper. *sigh* Cooper, Cooper, Cooper.... He finally gets his own HEA. Or does he??... We all fell in love with Cooper in book 1 of the Forbidden Desires series. And our hearts also broke right along with his. We're finally given an inside look into his mind, and the not-so-hidden turmoils he's endured trying to nurse his broken spirit. He's quite a unique character...lovable, funny, and just an overall good guy. Throw in his gorgeous good looks and effervescent personality, and any woman would be lucky enough to call him hers. I was immediately intrigued with how Cooper was going to handle going back to working along side his brother, Gavin. We all know what, or more like WHO, came between them. But I had faith in Cooper. He just needed something, or should I say SOMEONE, to take his mind off his heartbreak. Cue: Corinne. Now Corinne was someone that surprised me. Not her introduction per se, more the characteristics she displayed. Her reserved and quite private personality made it difficult to truly understand the type of character she was. Who was she? And what hidden secrets does she keep? I, right along with Cooper, was desperate to find out. The character's initial meeting was, shall I say, unconventional. And as their relationship, both business and personal, continued along those same lines, I couldn't help but wonder if these two really belonged together. But as the book progressed, it was evident that Cooper and Corinne complimented each other wonderfully, giving one another what the other needed. And their shared passion was unbelievably hot and their chemistry together was off the charts! Torrid Little Affair was exactly wanted readers needed for Cooper's story. Emotional, intriguing, and scintillating, this book is an absolute must read that will only make you fall more in love with Kendall Ryan's writing!

    Cooper is Great!

I was excited for Cooper's book, but also a little nervous. I have loved Coop since the start, he's such a good, sweet guy so I was excited to be in his head some more and learn even more about him. I was slightly nervous because I didn't really like his storyline in the first two books, and I didn't know how much of a factor that would play into his book. Luckily it wasn't a huge part of this storyline and he moved on from that. Corinne is a shy, but sweet girl with a very rough past. She's likable, but frustrating a little at times. Both her and Cooper definitely deserve a happy ending after everything they've been through. The storyline was unique for sure. I predicted some things and was surprised by others. I really enjoyed seeing Coop and Corinne's relationship develop, especially after that awkward first meeting. They are a great fit for one another and they make a cute couple. I'm definitely interested in reading Quinn's book, seeing as he is the brother least talked about. I can't wait to find out more about him and his life.

3.5 stars for Torrid Little Affair

I’m a fan of Kendall Ryan and loved Hitched from her Imperfect Love Kindle World series, so I fully expected to love Torrid Little Affair. Somehow, that didn’t happen. I didn’t hate, far from it, I just never fell in love with the characters. Maybe if I’d noticed that this was book 3 of the Forbidden Love series I would have enjoyed it better, but I didn’t so- my bad. Not that the story can’t be read as a standalone because it obviously can. I did it. Cooper runs a hugely successful high class escort agency with his two brothers, and is in the doldrums when we first met in here after the events of the previous two books. So, in an effort to get him back to work, Gavin and Quinn hire Corrine O’Neill to be his a new P.A. Cooper came off as a bit of a douchecanoe when he sees Corrine, treating when her in the most deplorable manner and reducing her to tears. He soon apologized and made up for but still, I found it hard to warm up to his character. Corrine had a lot of secrets that she was hiding her true self behind, so when Cooper made his offer to help her she doesn’t jump at it, even though she’s attracted to him. But it doesn’t take long before she agrees. Their affair starts slowly but when Corrine’s secrets finally come to light, Cooper in incensed and badly hurt-again. Can Corrine find the strength to make him understand Or is this the end of their Torrid Little Affair?

    You Will LOVE Cooper!

4.5 Stars First, let me start by saying that this is a standalone, but, that said, if you haven't read the first 2 books in the Forbidden Desires series, stop now and go read...as this book has some very minor spoilers on how that all works out. Now, if you are still here, I am going to guess that you read the first 2 books...so, you know this is about Cooper, and he is working on getting over Emma...by getting someone else under him. And, he is not really being all that picky. This comes through in his automatic assumption that Corinne, his new assistant, is there to assist him in totally different ways than those covered in her employment paperwork and interview. Once they get past that misunderstanding Cooper and Corinne decide to see if a purely "for sex" relationship will work for them, to give him the chance to get over Emma and to give Corrine the experience she feels she is lacking. And, that is about all I can say without ruining the story. Because, from here it takes some predictable turns (it is a romance after all, so there has to be the development of the relationship, etc.) and some turns that I did not see coming. And, I am not telling what they are as that would be ruining the fun of the book. There are some realizations by Cooper that absolutely had to happen for me to be willing to believe that he is able to move on from Emma and fall in love with someone else. I definitely believe it after reading his story. He is head over heels for Corinne and you believe it. She is it for him and watching someone like Cooper fall that totally in love with someone is a great ride. I really enjoyed this book, and the development of the relationship with Cooper, Quinn and Gavin was also wonderful, as the 3 brothers factor into the story as much as they did in the previous books in the series, and the development of that relationship adds dimension and depth to not only the relationship Cooper has with Corinne but also gives the reader a glimpse into who Cooper is and the things that he values. I recommend this title.

    My favorite Kingsley brother

3.5 stars After reading books 1 and 2 in the Forbidden Desires series, I couldn't wait for Cooper's story. This is book 3 in the series, but it can be read as a complete stand alone. Characters from the previous books do appear, however. I loved how patient and caring Cooper was, after a somewhat rocky start with Corinne. He has been burned by love and though he lost his way for a bit after Emma, he continues to love deeply and search for that connection. He is my favorite of the Kingsley brothers. Cooper and Corinne were both dealing with their own baggage, but through each other they found that missing peace in their lives. The push and pull started to be a bit much towards the end and Corinne especially confused me with her hot and cold behavior. When the secrets of the past are revealed, I felt like both their reactions were rash and confusing. I understand that they both were angry and unsure about what was brewing between them, but I wish they would have just avoided that drama with honesty. Once everything is out in the open though, it's more clear why the truth was initially so elusive. This book is definitely instalust between Corinne and Cooper at first, but I did like that they then took the time to really get to know each other. Cooper really shined at the end and my heart was left happy and full. I also enjoyed checking in with Emma and Gavin from books 1 and 2. Overall, this is a sweet romance and I'm excited for Quinn's story next! *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*
