    Wallflower Most Wanted

I am hooked on Manda's books. I really fell into this series. I have most of her books. I will be waiting for her next story. She gives us real good people! Sophie was working on her painting by the edge and it crumbled as she falls. Benedict saw her and carried her home as she sprained her ankle. Ben fell for her. She is not having men. Major Spoiler! Sophie has seen a spot on a Classic painting that was stolen way back. She knows it is forged. She is used and wants to get Ben, the Vicar, to help her find others. Even being a Vicar, Ben will work with the Home Office! A new family has moved in and there is a Show coming on and he wants Sophie to drop her 3 paintings. You will see why if you read this book. It is a good book and you don't need a lot of tissues. I clicked this read. Check this book out! Give this story a chance! You won't regret it! Enjoy your reading!

    Great Fun.

Miss Sophia Hastings is one of the blue stocking heiresses, very intelligent women who sometimes find it difficult in this "man's" world. She is an artist and is getting her paintings ready for a local exhibition. Not everyone likes her subject matter. A shock while painting near the cliffs will embroil her in a mystery. Lord Benedict Lisle is the local vicar. A big hit with all the marriageable young ladies of the town. He never thought a peaceful walk along the shore would put him in the middle of a forgery investigation. There is an intriguing case for our characters to solve, while doing their best to stay safe and scandal free. I didn't guess who the culprit was, there are lots of suspects. This is the third book in the series. Each book can be read alone, but if like me you want to read all of them it's best to read them in order or you will get spoilers. I have read and loved all of them and can't wait for the next.

    A Second Chance

This book is part of a series "Studies in Scandal" but I have not read the other two. This book read well as a standalone but am sure it would be even better with the other books in the series. Sophia Hastings is one of four heiresses who has inherited Beauchamp house and are all pursuing their individual interest. Sophia is the artist of the four and paints from her heart pictures that are not that popular with the general public. She meets up with Benedict Lisle, the local vicar who she had met before and they overhear a conversation that puts them on the alert. Thinking someone is going to be murdered, they work together to solve the mystery. Of course being thrown together in close proximity, the spark between them comes to life and has a will of its own! An intriguing mystery and love story that takes the reader through many paces to find out who the culprit is in the end. An enjoyable, you ready to pick up the next installment in this delightful series!

    To my Vicar, with love

I’ll admit I was a little hesitant about reading a love story about a vicar. In my mind, when I think of a vicar I think of creepy Mr. Collins from Pride & Prejudice. This man isn’t any vicar. He is Reverend Lord Benedict Lisle, second son of the Duke of Pemberton. He was introduced to the Studies in Scandal series in book two and I liked him, so I was willing to step out of my reading comfort zone and give him a chance. Once Ben found the woman he was meant to be with falling off a ten foot cliff, I knew this wouldn’t be any ordinary love story. Miss Sophia Hastings was lucky Ben was walking along the beach that day. The fall and the overheard conversation set the pair off in search of a forgery ring and love. Sophia is one of four young ladies whom inherited Beauchamp House from the late Lady Celeste Beauchamp. Her artistic talent and ability to show the world thought provoking pieces caught the eye of Lady Celeste, earning Sophia a place at Beauchamp House. Just like her fellow heiresses, Lady Celeste left Sophia a mystery to solve. Find the perpetrators swindling art lovers by selling forgeries through a local gallery. Ben and Sophia tangle up in each other as they work to find the culprits. I would’ve thought a vicar would show more restraint than Ben did when it came to his affections toward Sophia. Turns out even vicars have a libido that runs wild when confronted with beauty and brains all embedded in one woman. It made for one wild ride for the vicar and the artist! I was on edge thinking “Will he or won’t he?” When Sophia needed to, she gave him the little push he needed. I gave her a virtual high five for going after what she wanted. While this is the third in the series, it can be read as a standalone. I do highly recommend reading the first two installments, Ready Set Rogue, Ivy and Quill’s story, and Duke with Benefits, Daphne and Dalton’s story. The series is not over yet! Book four, One for the Rogue, Gemma and, 2018! I received this book for free. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Murder, Mystery, Mayhem and a Steamy Romance

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for a fair review. Wallflower Most Wanted is the third book in Manda Collins series Studies in Scandal. Ready Set Rogue and Duke with benefits being the first two. The series is about a group of four heiresses who are left Beauchamp house because they are blue stockings who are pursuing fields that Lady Celeste Beauchamp was interested in. I do think you will need to read the other books in this series as it is a continuing story with each of the heiresses being set a task by Lady Celeste. Sophia Hastings is the artist in the group of heiresses and although she is affectionately called Wallflower by the hero Benedict Lisle, younger son of a duke and local vicar, she is actually quite beautiful and has a following of the local males. Sophia discovers her task after she accidentally tumbles over a small cliff and while being assisted by our hero overhears 2 men plotting to eliminate a stumbling block. Murder, mystery and mayhem ensue as well as a quite steamy romance. I very much enjoyed this book as well as the other two in the series and look forward to the next one. Publishin Date January 30, 2018.
