Exactly what I expected from Amy Poehler

Amy writes about her boys, her career and her family. She briefly mentions her divorce to Will Arnett, in no specific detail. The majority of the book is her life in showbiz. My favourite part was when Amy gave a detailed intro to each member of the cast of Parks & Recreation and stated 1. Her favourite moment with this person. 2. Something we wouldn't know about that person and 3. The funniest moment on set. I thought this was a great read and it was really funny.

    Amy Please!

This was such a fun read. I could hear Amy basically reading the book to me in my head so that was awesome. I love her practical advice and hearing about just how hard she had to work to get to where she is. I paused at times to watch YouTube clips of performances she mentioned. The chapter I laughed out loud at was near the end about her boys. Read it and tell me you didn't chuckle. The best piece of advice she gives on career that is applicable to everyone is in the chapter "Treat Your Career Like a Bad Boyfriend". She makes me want a career partner in crime like Tina Fey and her chapter on how cell phones will kill us is hilarious, true and so on point with how we have a love / hate affair with our phones. They drive us crazy yet we can't get rid of them. Definitely a great read!

    Great book!

Amy Poehler's voice can be heard when reading the novel. I'm not a big fan of non-fiction, but this was definitely a great read. Funny, clever and honest.

Could I have some more, please?

I love reading things that smart, funny people write. This did not disappoint! I hope she writes more in the future!

    Delightfully funny

I loved everything about this. The stories, the anecdotes, the advice. She has a wonderful perspective on this world. Just as witty, funny, and charming as you would expect from Amy Poehler.
