    Loved Cordelia + Alec !

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest! This was a very emotional book. On the surface, Alec looked like he had it all, but he carried scars on the inside. Since his mother's death, his father completely checked out of his children's life. Since a young age, Alec has to take care of his siblings. All the responsibility for the family felt on his shoulders. He still had not forgiven his father for that. Cordelia had loving parents, but she still feel hurt by her biological father's indifference. When her biological father dies, he leaves his fortune to Cordelia. She wants nothing to do w/ anything from him. She wouldn't even know what to do w/ this fortune. When Alec + Cordelia meet, they are dealing w/ their own demons. As they get to know each other, they form a relationship. Each other is afraid to let the other know how they really feel. It takes a near tragedy for them to put all their cards on the table. Very emotional book!

Why do we let past hurts hinder our future? Can Cordelia get past Alec's protective wall? I really felt for him in regard to his relationship with his father and siblings. Alec gets handed news that would rock anyone's world and I felt like she handled it pretty well. Liked seeing Alec's siblings and his dad. It amazes me how this author can keep writing about the Sullivan family and never write any two alike. Each one is unique. Bring on the next family member.

    A great read!

A wonderful story that draws you in straight away. It conveys the power of true love and forgiveness, set against a background of a large and wonderful family that I wish were mine as well.

    Amazing story!!!

With each new book in the Sullivan family series, I seem to fall in love with the hero each and every time. We had met Alec in the other books and he always seemed a bit harder than the other members of his family, so imagine my surprise when I not only fell in love with him, but he became one of my most favorite characters in the series to date. Cordelia and Alec are as opposite as opposites can be at first glance. Alec is a partner in a billion dollar aviation business and Cordelia is happily running her little nursery in a small town. She wants nothing to do with the business she is inheriting from the birth father she never met. I loved that Alec was all ready to be all business about offering a buy out package until he saw Cordelia the first time. I have to say I adored the instant connection between Alec and Cordelia. I felt like they each just understood each other on a level no one else ever had. Add in the smoking hot chemistry between them, and I fell so hard for them as a couple. Each of the New York Sullivan children have every right to have issues with their father, and I so understood Alec being less inclined to be ready to forgive and have his father be a main part of his life. I think because of the time he spent with Cordelia and seeing her be open to forgiving her birth father, it helped put him on the path to forgiving his father. I really did love everything about You Do Something to Me. It was filled with love, passion, laughter, and tears. I love a book that makes me feel so many emotions at once, and Bella Andre is a master of emotion. I highly recommend not only this book but all the books in the Sullivan Family series.
