    Loved Roman!!

Every time I think that I just love a book and that it can't be topped a new one is released and it tops my favorite... I loved Max and it was my favorite in this series, until bad boy Roman's story... This book is kind of a double romance story. Primarily you get Roman and Lexi's story, however you get her father's story and her best friend/almost mom's story. Essentially you get Lexi's POV, Roman's POV, and Brian's POV, I thought it might get confusing, but it was very smooth transitions between them, there was no guessing who's POV when you were reading it was very clear. The characters, all of them were genuinely likeable, though Gray (Ryker's wife) was a little bitchy/snarky in this book. Was hard not to enjoy seeing bad boy Roman brought down by Lexi. And was so cute watching Brian (Gray and Lexi's dad) fall for Georgia. You read some books where the characters are there but you just can't connect or identify and then you read others that you just click with and for me I really felt it with Roman and Lexi. There is some interesting family dilemmas/strife that gave the story a more realistic feeling. There's some books you read that are just so unbelievable, and I didn't feel that way. The book moves fast, and keeps you hooked. I loved this book! Definitely another success! Hit this one out of the park!!!

    Romance with multiple layers

I really enjoyed this book. I was surprised by how many things were happening during the story and how nicely everything worked together. Although this is the seventh book in the Cold Fury Hockey series, it could be read as a stand alone novel since each book in the series really does tell its own story. Readers of the series will enjoy seeing characters from previous books play an important role in this installment. This was a story that hooked me right away and I found myself having a hard time setting the book aside. Lexi is an amazing character and really the focus of this story. This book wasn't only focused on romance although romance played an important role. Lexi has moved to town in order to meet her father, who happens to be Brian Brannon, the owner of the Cold Fury Hockey Team. Lexi's father doesn't know anything about her until they meet. During her first trip to the Cold Fury office, Lexi meets Roman and there is an instant attraction. I liked Lexi and Roman together and thought that they made a great couple. They just seemed really good for each other and had a lot of chemistry. It was fun watching bad boy Roman try to figure out how to be in a relationship. I also really liked watching the relationship between Lexi and her father develop. They accepted each other almost immediately and it seemed so right. Lexi's relationship with Gray was a little more painful to see develop but it felt completely realistic. I really liked the fact that this book was told from three different points of view. I didn't expect it but it really worked well. Getting a chance to really see what was happening from Lexi, Roman, and Brian's point of view really made the story work. Each character had a lot of emotions wrapped up in everything that was going on and getting a chance to be in their head for part of the book just made everything feel more real. I would recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. This book really tells a big story with a lot of emotion and it was really nice to watch everything develop. I can't wait to read the next book in this fun series! I received an advance reader edition of this book from Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept via NetGalley.

    Fantastic

Another home run (or should that be goal??) in the Cold Fury series from Ms. Bennett. Roman is a little bit cocky, a bit of a troublemaker, and a whole lot of yummy. Being called to the GM's office isn't anything new for Roman. Being the teams enforcer has landed him in trouble more than once. This time though while waiting to be called in he meets the most interesting woman he's met in a long time. Lexi Robertson is definitely a woman he wants to know better. Will she give him a chance when her newly found sister fills her in on his reputation?? Trust me you want to find out. I highly recommend you grab a copy of this one.

Roman is a more family discovery read about the Br

Roman: A Cold Fury Hockey Novel (Carolina Cold Fury Hockey book 7) by Sawyer Bennett is a great standalone read if you have not read the other books in the series. If you have been reading Sawyer Bennett’s Cold Fury stories this is a must read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of Roman and am glad I got to learn more about Roman and the Brannon Family. Roman is a more personal family read outside of the Cold Fury Team. Cold Fury Defenseman Roman Sýkora is the one who plays to show how mean & tough the team can be. Roman spends time in the penalty box and makes tabloid headlines in his personal life. But management wants it all toned down. Lexi Robertson, a fun-loving barista who plays the ukulele, has come to meet her just discovered family- The Brannon who own the Cold Fury. She and Roman meet first and they are both attracted to the other. But will all the new feelings bring them together or keep them apart. Roman is a more family discovery read than a team read. It will have you hooked from the start and is a must read if you are a follower of the Cold Fury series. Sawyer Bennett is a great storyteller and Roman is just another chance to fall more in love with Her stories. If you have not read a Sawyer Bennett story, Roman is a great place to start. I am looking forward to meeting Max Fournier’s little brother in book 8 of the Carolina Cold Fury Hockey series. Thanks Sawyer Bennett & Good Writing

I can't get enough of these guys

Book 7 in the Carolina Cold Fury series and we have two love stories for the price of one! We follow Roman Sýkora (ice hockey's bad boy both on and off the ice), and Lexi Robertson, (free spirited ukulele playing barista), as they navigate the minefield of relationships, family and ice hockey management. Cold Fury's owner Brian Brannon gets a 3rd POV (which I loved) as he dips his feet in the dating pool with Lexi's boss and surrogate mother Georgia. Once again Sawyer Bennett blew me away with her storyline, characters and writing, I could really get in the mindset of the characters and my eyes watered on more than one occasion. I loved Lexi's no bull$#!T attitude and the way she handles sticky situations, she's a breath of fresh air. Sexy bad boy Roman is the perfect match for Lexi and I've got to say they bring out the best in each other. Sadly outside of Roman and Ryker we don't get to interact with the rest of the team, can't wait for Lucas' story though, I just can't seem to get enough of the Carolina Cold Fury boys. A full 5 star read. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
