    A tremendously satisfying read

4.5 stars. Autumn Imago was a thoroughly enjoyable read. At times, I couldn't put it down and read far into the night when I should have been sleeping. The author was bang-on in his writings about the dynamics of families. It rang so true and brought back some uncomfortable memories from my own family experience. All in all, it was a tremendously satisfying read. I know it'll stay with me for a long while and I'll be thinking about it long after I've started my next book.

In Autumn Imago, author Wiggins paints with words!

In “Autumn Imago”, Wiggins brings his talents as a poet, artist and author together in a unique novel which grabs the heart and mind. Wiggins paints with words. Much of his story is set in Baxter State Park in Maine. Clearly, he knows the park well, having his own personal connection with the place for over 30 years. Wiggins’ artistry and passion, allows you to feel like you are there. While fiction, this story is real, genuine, and powerful. Sometimes in the middle of a beautiful day, the sky darkens suddenly, and we find ourselves in the midst of a terrible storm. We know that's the way life is, and a family’s different reactions to an unexpected storm explore the reality of life and the very real questions we ask ourselves. In the face of tragedy, do we run to something or run away from everything? This book touched me deeply in a personal way. One meaning of the word “Imago” is an idealized image of another person, usually a parent, acquired in childhood and carried in the unconscious in later life. When this image is shattered, is healing possible? I am hooked and looking forward to more books by this talented author who clearly has something to say.
