    INTENSE!

Hidden Peril (Code of Honor #2) is a perfect example of why Irene Hannon is an award winning author in the romantic suspense category. From the start, Hidden Peril will grab your attention and keep it to the last page. Hannon’s plot is on point and very believable. It could happen anytime in real life. Her background research is obvious as the many details of certain things are described. (I would explain more but I don’t want to include spoilers.) Her characters are realistic, believable and you would want them to be your friends. The villains are as evil as they come. An example of that is when main character Kristin Dane had this thought, “Until she found herself looking into the face of hell.” Her addition of romance is added at the right time and always done in a tasteful manner. I was provided an ARC of this book by the Publisher and NetGalley. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence. I have preordered a copy of this book for my own personal library.

    Full of Suspense!

"A lot of people talked about helping those in need. Kristin Dane was doing it." That's what made the crime so bizarre; a lovely fair trade shop smeared with the blood of a senseless murder. Kristin Dane is deeply heartbroken over the violent death of her part time clerk. The police want answers as well, and when they assign Detective Luke Carter to Kristin's case, she is duly convinced that Luke will do his very best to seek justice. But when a second murder is committed with loose connections to Kristin's merchandise, there is a sense that a much darker force could be involved. . . . . . for, "terrorists are not predictable". Join Luke and and Kristin as they fight against those seeking America's demise, while their growing attraction for each other threatens to provide the spark that their enemy needs, to ignite its strategy into overdrive. This story has Irene Hannon's legendary trademarks written all over it; admirers of romantic suspense will have a hard time putting it down!

    great book

I have only recently discovered Irene Hannon books and I am such a fan of her writing and story telling! Hidden Peril did not disappoint, the book was full of action and a great story line. The two main characters of Kristin and Luke were wonderful and very likeable. I also loved that some familiar characters from her "Heroes of Quantico" series were in this story. Overall a perfect read. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I am very happy to recommend this book.

    Oh so good!

I immensely enjoyed this book. There was absolutely nothing I didn’t like about it. Hidden Peril is the second book in the Code of Honor series. I have not read the first book, and don’t feel that I had to in order to enjoy this one. This is a great stand alone novel. That being said, I can’t wait to read the first book as well. The characters were so much fun to get to know, and I don’t want to miss a thing. I am anxiously awaiting the next installment, and can’t wait to see what Hannon does next. The Code of Honor series follows a group of childhood friends as they try to make the world a better place. This story follows Kristin Dane as crazy things start happening to people connected to her shop. What is going on at WorldCraft? And why does Kristin seem to be in the middle of it? Those are the questions her best friends and Detective Luke Cater would like to know. The answer might not be as simple as they would all hope. Untangling a criminals web of deceit rarely is. Can the boys work together and stop the danger from escalating? Or will Kristin become the next victim? Join me in a edge of your seat adventure where I couldn’t possibly guess what was coming next. I loved playing detective right alongside Luke, and trying to figure out who the villain was. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Romantic Suspense. I received a copy of this book from Revell Publishers and was in no way forced to post a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
