    Thanks for your feedback!

    OK, not great

I thought this book was just ok. The first chapters told us little about who Eloise and Gerard really were making it difficult to invest in them right away. It took far too long to establish Eloise’s history. Sometimes that can add suspense and the payout is worth it. In this case when everything finally revealed itself it was more of a meh moment. Parts of the story were beautifully written, although the instant deep love these two felt came about so quickly that I never really understood why they would find each other indispensable so quickly. I usually enjoy historical aspects of these romances, but this one was overwhelming the story instead of just providing an interesting context for it. So I enjoyed the book, didn’t love it and removed it from my reader as I don’t want to read it again.
