    A Night of Forever

This is a rough book to read. I love this series but it is a dark story. It isn't really a stand alone either. Marissa and Isobel are in a coach and it rolls over and for Marissa it will change her life drastically. Victoria is horrid and tries to destroy the Libertine Scholars. This whole story is seeing if they can be ahead of the others. Everyone is untrustworthy of Isobel. Arend fled France and has a problem with women. Spoiler. Isobel believes in him and he keeps his distance. The Group run to Deal to follow Victoria to France. There are plenty of guns, dart guns and tunnels under the town. This story is full of changes and Spoilers. I see this is no longer the last book but two more stories are in the works. I like these dark stories I believe you would like it too. It is a good but need to walk away book. Give this a chance. Don't let it get away. Enjoy! I have volunteered to read and review this book.

    Arend is so dreamy!

Fans of the Disgraced Lords had been waiting a long time for Arend’s story, and newcomers won’t have a problem catching up, because Ms. Evans brings everyone up to speed before Chapter 1. Arend had first encountered Isobel when rescuing the wife of one of his fellow Libertine Scholars. Arend is an unrepentant rake, and in spite of being attracted to him, Isobel doesn’t like him very much, but she needs his help; she suspects her stepmother of having a hand in Isobel’s father’s death. Arend has severe trust issues, in part because of his own experiences as well as those shared with the other Libertine Scholars, and the fact that Isobel is their enemies’ stepdaughter doesn’t bode well, but as he thinks Isobel might be involved in their foe’s evil machinations, he will do what it takes to get rid of the Lords’ enemy once and for all. Isobel is quite fetching, and Arend intends to use his practiced seduction skills to get close to Isobel, but he is nonplussed when she remains immune to his considerable charms! How dare she! What splendid characters, and what a fabulous match! Arend is the ultimate tortured hero; what a life he’s led, he is simply scrumptious, even better than I imagined. He is an easy man to love, but it takes a while to really like him, and this is not said negatively; it’s because his character is so well defined. Isobel is a remarkable heroine: she’s cool, proud, level-headed and very clever. A NIGHT OF FOREVER has many layers, it’s as much character-based as it is action-packed, and Ms. Evans strikes a perfect balance between the two. The fake engagement between Isobel and Arend is brilliantly executed, and nothing that happens is predictable. This book is dense, intense, intricately plotted, and the sexual tension between Arend and Isobel crackles, and the sex scenes are sensuous, tender, erotic, and gorgeous. A NIGHT OF FOREVER is evenly paced, filled with unexpected events, plot twists, and revelations, and the ending is wonderful. But best of all, we have not seen the last of the Disgraced Lords! A Night of Forever

A Night of Forever takes us further into the events of Arend's kidnapping - which we see from others' perspectives in the previous book. It did take me a few moments to find my place in the timeline, but once I was settled I really enjoyed the story. Although, knowing part of the outcome did make it a bit less suspenseful for me. Lady Isabel is the step-daughter of the woman the Libertine Scholars believe is trying to ruin and kill them. How could she not know what is going on when she is right in the middle of it all? Arend is determined to prove her collusion and is willing to take some rather extreme measures to do so. But or course this backfires, and he finds himself deeply intrigued by the lady. There is a lot of action, and even though I knew how it was going to end already, there were a couple surprises along the way. I thoroughly enjoyed Lady Isobel. She had a quick wit and was fiercely loyal once she deemed you worthy of her trust. I wasn't as fond as Arend, he's never been my favorite of the Libertine Scholars. A bit too roguish for my tastes - and too much of a blackguard to really seem like the hero. In fact, he's the one in need of rescue a few times. I'm all for a damsel rescuing her hero, but that isn't the case. In fact, she's rescued by someone entirely different (I hope he finds love) that I liked much better than Arend. A great addition to the story of the Libertine Scholars, and sort of an end. There's still more to come and I can't wait to read it. As a series, it is near the top of my list for great reads. **I voluntarily read a review copy of this book**

    Fantastic Historical Romance

A Night Of Forever by Bronwen Evans is an amazing read. Ms Evans has gifted us with a well written book, a nice smooth read. The characters are phenomenal. Isobel and Arend's story has plenty of drama, angst, action, humor and sizzle. A Night Of Forever is fast paced and will have you turning pages as fast as you can. I love this book and look forward to my next Bronwen Evans book. A Night Of Forever is book 6 of the Disgraced Lords Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book received from NetGalley.

Arend and Isobel fight for their love!

Received an ARC from Netgalley! I loved the ending of the series and wish it could continue with more! Arend and Isobel was worth waiting for. The Libertine Scholars couldn't decide if they trusted Isobel or not with Victoria being her stepmother and the way Victoria acted. One had to feel sorry for Victoria after it was revealed what had happened to her, but her mind was totally twisted. Arend was fighting his own demons trying to decide if he could trust Isobel with his past or not while falling in love! This story had so many twists and turns, I was quickly reading to figure out how it was going to end! Now I'm wondering if Sean will get a story!!!
