    Liked it, but...

I will say I enjoyed all the books in this series and was very excited to read this one. I just hated that in this book some sentences would bounce from first person to third person point of view. It was confusing and annoying at times. I have never noticed mistakes like that in any other books of Cora's that I've read. Was disappointed.

    Okay

It does not quite fit in with the series. Great writing, but the previous books were better.

    Room for Improvement

First I have to say, this book needs a complete re edit. The spelling errors and constant change in sentences between first person, 3rd person and tense made it difficult to read. I found myself constantly re-reading and as it got worse towards the end of the book, skipping pages. That being said, the book was an interesting read with a dark twist on an unconventional love story. I found the content of the story which is based on the Mafia and violence perhaps a little over the top and slightly confronting, it is very different from your typical love story. I would be interested in reading other books written by this author that are not based on this 'theme' of violence and underground law.

    editing needed, beside that good

This book is outside of the other books in this series and can perfectly read as a standalone. It is also a touch darker than the other volumes. Main figures are a psychopathic Mafia killer and a 19 year old girl, which is given to him as a punishment for the betrayal of her family against the local Camorra. It is written in the first person view from her side and a third person view on his side, pronou8ncing his incapability to understand emotions. It contained not few erotic scenes. I would strongly advise a reediting of this book. There were major spelling mistakes even a foreigner like me notices and especially towards the end some mixed up perspectives. It looked like the author could not decide if she wanted to write in the first or third person and changed it in the middle of the sentence. This made me stumble through some paragraphs multiple times until I had figured out who did what. For this I take one star away.

    Great story, needed proofreading

A bit different from yhe others in this series, but still a good story. The thing that I found annoying while reading this was the number of basic errors that should have been picked up in proofreading.
