    Murder, Prostitution, Drugs & More

Broken Dolls by Sarah Flint DC Charlotte Stafford #4 Baddies aplenty with a twist at the end I was not prepared for! Prostitution, drugs and murder with evil pimps and women struggling to survive is what this book is about. I came away unsettled and wonder how many times in real life issues are settled as they were in this book and fear it may be more often than I think. Did I like this book? Hard to answer…it did make me think… Will I read more by this author? Yes The story was well written but very dark. If you are not into abuse, violence and this type of story I would warn you off. That said, I am curious to find out what will happen in book five and fear for more than one person in this series! Thank you to NetGalley and Aria for the ARC – This is my honest review. 3-4 Stars

    A very strong book

A thought provoking book. Sexual exploitation both by girls being trafficked from Eastern Europe and girls being seduced from Children's homes, are as bad as one another. Girls from abroad with no family to protect them - and worse their traffickers know where their families are and girls who don't have anyone to protect them. We should be doing more to look after children in care. An interesting story with a twist in the tail. We're left with 2 victims - who are much more guilty than they appear - what does the future hold for them - neither of them are particularly sane. This is a book that engrossed me and the open ended ending - I must admit it worries me.

    Broken Dolls

What a thriller, did not want to put this book down until I had finished. The plot was on the edge, wondering what was going to happen next, and boy what a twist!

    Broken Dolls

Really enjoyable, it kept me interested all the way through. Not a pleasant story. Sad to imagine people who seem to be victims of life. Or people who want to escape domestic violence. What makes some people violent? So the story can be sad, but as entertainment it will be a good read.
