A fun rom-com with a side of office romance

Catastrophe Queen by Author Emma Hart is a delicious rom-com. It kept me laughing out loud and turning the pages. Mallory is a hot mess. It is like she trips on air and is a total klutz that must have mini heart attacks walking up the stairs. Yes...that klutzy and adorable too. She is also quirky, sassy and owns all of it. Cameron is hot and has his own quirks. He is the total opposite of Mallory and opposites definitely attract here. If you are looking for a fun read look no further. This is a great office romance in an angst free zone.

    ***5 ‘Hurricane’ Stars***

***5 ‘Hurricane’ Stars*** Such sweet, catastrophe filled, slow burn goodness, with a good dose of snark added into the mix, of course. This book had it all for me from start to finish and I really wish there was no “The End” in the end. Mallory is a walking catastrophe waiting to happen. No lie. This woman just falls into these situations on the daily, but, regardless of her klutziness she is sassy, snarky and somehow turns all of that into a charming woman with a good heart. Cameron is a really good man. Sweet, compassionate, not klutzy, charming and intelligent and has just enough alpha in him that makes him all kinds of smexy. Cameron and Mallory’s journey was all kinds of fun. From the not so sweet meet cute to them getting their HEA, it was truly sweet, slow burning goodness ~ and when I say slow burn, I mean slow burn. The attraction is instantaneous, but I like how they didn’t immediately cross the employer/employee line and instead built a solid relationship around it. Now, this one is sweet, but the chemistry between them is always simmering beneath the surface and that coupled with the fact that they truly like who the other had me rooting for them from start to finish. Catastrophe Queen is a fun character driven read. This angst is low and snark is on point throughout. As for the supporting cast of characters, I loved them all! Mallory and Cameron’s family are unique and definitely made this read even more enjoyable for me. And then there is Jade...I’m crossing my toes that we’ll be getting more of her at some point because she was awesome! ~ Copy provided by the author & voluntarily reviewed ~

It was a refreshing book that was easy to read and you come out of it feeling rather good! I can highly recommend this entertaining story that will have you laughing at the antics of the characters! LOL Heaven!

This was a delightfully sweet and absolutely hilarious romantic comedy that was filled with sassy, witty banter, loads of laughter as well as epic entertaining times, that kept me smiling and laughing through most of this book. This is my first story by Emma Hart and I can’t wait to read more, more, more of her stories. Mallory is without a doubt a klutz, knocking over coffee cups, tripping over air, are an everyday experience. Currently she is living back at home with her parents, after losing her job and her apartment burned down, possibly due to a straightening iron, being left on. When she finally gets through an interview that wasn’t an epic fail, she almost gets hit by a car that is driven by a absolute hunk. Cameron Reid ran his family’s real estate company. He has been having problems with finding an assistant, since his ex-assistant didn’t return after maternity leave. When Cameron comes in to meet his new assistant, he finds that it is the beautiful woman that he almost ran over the day before. The chemistry between them is sizzling, but the craziness of all that is Mallory doesn’t seem to really faze him. At least she can do the job and is quite good at it, especially with all of his demanding clients. And that is due to having to put up with her crazy but hilarious great aunt, grandfather and her parents. But soon their attraction can’t be ignored and although dating your boss is not something you should do Mallory and Cameron just can’t say no. So hang on to your seats as well as your stomach as these two will keep you entertained and laughing throughout this book. Sweet, Sexy, and Hilariously Funny! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

    Enjoyable Read

4 Stars Review by Lisa Late Night Support Group Up All Night w/ Books Blog With a book title like Catastrophe Queen, you know it has to be good. Emma Hart has delivered another fantastic read. This one is a laugh out loud funny but you also shake your head when you feel Mallory's pain. We have all been that klutz at one point or another!!! A romantic comedy at it's best. One of the things I just loved about this book is that it's clean. Clean in a sense that it's fun. There's no drama, suspense or fluff. The story moves at such a great pace that I flew through the pages. From start to finish, you are laughing not only because of Mallory but the other characters in this story as well. I LOVE THEM ALL!!!! When your name, Mallory, actually means unfortunate, life has a funny way of turning out. Mallory is the queen of catastrophe. When something can go wrong, it goes upside down, backward and turns in a circle wrong!! New Job, new beginning right? Sure, until you walk in on your hot boss wearing nothing but a towel!!! What could go wrong? Everything and anything. But with Mallory's history and him being her boss, well let's just not touch that. This story is just so enjoyable and loveable that you will fall in love with all its characters.
