  • A new adventure for Daisy.

This is the second story about Daisy, and I have to say I think she improved in this book, I liked this one better than the first altogether – I got more involved with the story- it gripped me more once it got going. I was particularly impressed by the Star Trek references, I did know that ‘Captain Jean-Luc’ was from Second Generation and then we got the Kobayashi Maru from the original series, which maybe says more about me than the author! (I always fancied the Klingon!) The book is well written and flows well – another good one for Ms Pearl! I have hovered over the rating but in the end decided on a high end 4.

  • Friends and livers

This a sequel to Daisy's Christmas Gift Shop and although it would be best if you had read this, her Summer Mission does stand alone so read on with no regret. This time Daisy is reveling in her full on relationship with Eli. Her friendship with Lily is still very important to them both and it is this that kicks off the adventures contained in this story. Daisy's relationship with Erin is also pivotal to the outcome of the book. Throw into the mix Ben, Daisy's twin, and Eli's work and you get a book combining romance, friendship, spying and computer genius'. The story is fast paced and has plenty of twists and turns to keep you interested. I enjoyed the way so many different relationships were interwoven in a very believable manner, and I would love to have Daisy and Lily as friends! Enjoy this, sitting in the sun with a cool drink, or by the fire with a hot chocolate, anywhere, anytime, it will suit!
