A brilliant read, with a surprising ending

This is one of those books you can’t put down until you are finished. I read until 3.30am. Libby and Sean have what seems to be a perfect marriage. Sean’s a local vet, Libby has her own catering business. Sean has a son from his previous marriage Dan, and Libby and Sean have 4 year old Alice. Libby finds a note on her car saying Sean is having an affair. Despite her best friend telling her not to say anything to Sean, Libby confronts him he denies it, and suggests they go on a date night. They get Sasha a young local girl who has babysat before and has also helped Libby before with her catering. When Libby and Sean return from their evening out Sasha is nowhere to be found, but her mobile and schoolbooks are still on the table. Where is Sasha? Why does Alice say Natalie (Sean’s ex wife) is evil? What secrets is Sean’s mum hiding about Sean when he was fifteen? Why does his dad hardly speak to him? This book is like a rollercoaster ride with so many twists. But the ending is just one you don’t see coming.

    twists and turns !!

I don't know what to say about Date Night; except put it on the top or your TBR pile !! Secrets, secrets, secrets !!! Family secrets tend to be more destructive. !! I wanted to believe and suspect others ; didn't get me far !! I wasn't even close at guessing the ending of Date Night. I am a big fan of Samantha Hayes and her books just keep getting better and better. Thank you to NetGalley an Bookouture for another great read !!

    Very Well Done!

The prologue will grab you and the story doesn't let go. As it unfolds, little tiny clues in the form of memories come through out of nowhere but start piling up to a fuller picture. Very well done psychological thriller that will keep you reading on and on!

    Gripping thriller

Wow! So many twists and turns. A gripping story you don’t want to put down. Unexpected twist at the end. Glad I didn’t have it in hard copy or I would have cheated to discover the ending.

    Date Night

It was good, it definitely kept you wanting to read to find out where the babysitter went! It dragged a bit in places but overall I really enjoyed it!
