    Spine-chilling

A spine-chilling read that is equal parts raw, real, and mind-bending. Sheryl Browne never disappoints. Reading books 1 & 2, first, is a good idea, but not necessary. I received this book from eBook Discovery. This is my honest review.

Sure to make a few hairs stand up

This is a story about a drug crazed psychopath and his prisoners that's sure to make a few hairs stand up. It is quite graphic at times but not gratuitously or out of sync with the story. My only complaint is that it's a bit over-written and tends to drag in places. I received a copy of this book for free from eBook Discovery. This review is my honest, voluntary review.

    A gripping read!

This was the first time I met DI Matthew Adams, but I intend to go back and read the first two books in this series. And if those two books are half as good as this, I know I am in for two thrilling reads. This book was a page turner, at times uncomfortable to read, but one I couldn’t put down despite the disturbing action. I had to get to the end. Sheryl has produced such a clever plot, full of twists and turns. A gripping story that will take you places you really don’t want to go, that will have your nerves tingling as you experience every possible emotion. You won’t be able to put it down, but it is worth the whole spine chilling journey. A great story.

DI Matthew Adams and Steve are back!

Seriously intense. A gripping read. Outstanding storyline. Absolutely hooked. Daniel and Joanne own a very successful boatyard. They have two beautiful daughters but sadly one is taken from them too soon. Kayla, the big sister was meant to be looking after little sister. The family is torn apart. Kayla battles with her emotions and herself and seeks out the one person she is determined to make notice her. Little does she know who Charlie Roberts really is. As the drama unfolds, the family are taken hostage and Daniel is tortured and forceably drugged into oblivion. He must remain calm before the walls close in on him completely. Counting backwards from 100 to relieve the psychological battle he constantly endures, his time is rapidly running out. Kayla's friend, Hannah is worried and seeks out DI Adams help. Time is against them all. Will they be able to find the Dinner family before the twisted psycho carries out his promise. Very graphical descriptions. There were plenty of sharp intakes of breath from me. Can't praise Sheryl enough. I absolutely loved the previous two books but this was on another level. Well done Sheryl - Amazing !

    Modern good versus evil

This was a gripping, modern thriller. It holds you from page one to the final sentences. Although a sequel to the first two DI Matthew Adams books it is a stand alone book. I do feel that to get the full background reading books 1 and 2 (preferably in order) would be a good thing, but, not totally necessary. That said, when you finish this one if you haven’t read 1 and 2 you will go out and buy them! Sheryl loads every page with twists and turns which kept me turning pages when I should be doing other things. The sheer evil of Charlie counterbalanced is by the normalness of Daniel who like so many men hides his compassionate and gentle side from all. The boating side of the story Sheryl has spot on, and so, unfortunately, I suppose the drug scene likewise. This is a side of life I have no knowledge of and cannot comprehend the horrors it encompasses. Thank God for men like Matthew and Daniel we all need them. A great story which will make every emotion tingle as you root for good to win.
