  • Must-read for every software developer

This is an outstanding and fairly unique book covering the foundations of scalable distributed data storage systems. It covers key aspects of data storage systems including fault-tolerance, reliability, scalability, replication, partitioning, transactions, and lots more, with key design tradeoffs clearly explained and demonstrated with practical references to well-known SQL and NoSQL stores out there. Very well written, researched in great depth, highly informative. The references alone are very interesting too. I wound up spending a week just reading through them. Overall an outstanding collection of information and references, all in one place.

    Thanks for your feedback!
