    recommended

Reading this book had me questioning today's social media life. Everybody puts up the whole life for everyone to see and it makes it very easy to learn and take advantage of it. And ultimately do a lot of damage in somebody's life. A very relevant story, with a sense of reality made it an easy and enjoyable read. If you like psychological thrillers, you want to read this one. Recommended. I chose to read this book and all opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased. Thanks to NetGalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK!

    What a ride!

Wow, I've just finished this book and I can't recommend it enough! Friend Request is one of the few books of its genre that I genuinely did not see the twist coming. All of the characters were so well written and the story so absorbing, I actually missed getting off my train, twice, because I was so into the chapter I was reading. I can't wait to read more from Laura now. If you've come this far reading reviews, just do yourself the favour and buy it.

    Interesting but repetitive

The twists come slowly though they are surprising in this thriller that really did keep me guessing. However, the protagonist was achingly two-dimensional and it was hard to sympathise or relate to her at all. Worth a read on a rainy day but nothing special.
