    Fill in the gaps

Even though this is not a novel it is still very much in the Troubleshooters universe. These short stories fill in some of the gaps e.g. the ones linked to tbe Dentist. The two best stories in this anthology - A Seal and Three Babies (what a Charlie Foxtrot!) which proves that Sam can do practically anything without the big S on the front of his T-shirt and Robin is no slouch either; and Arlene Schroeder's story in Home is Whete the Heart Is Parts 1 and 2. This really shows the ripple effect when someone deploys. Some of the stories are really poignant - When Frankie Met Rosie, and Ms Brockmann's essay on Valentine's Day - and I love the interviews with some of the characters, as if they'd jumped off the page into real life. I like that Ms Brockmann acknowledges that some of her fans email her to ask after Jules snd Robin, for example, as if they are real people instead of characters you come to know really well from reading her novels.
