Good story, well written with good plot! Really enjoyed the development of A.I. Looks as there might be a series on the horizon

    Good read

Storey seemed to be shortened, it needed a bit of filling “in”. Other than that, it was really good!

Standard space opera with lots of fighting.

Liberty is a fairly standard space opera in which fantastic technology features heavily. If you like this sort of fiction you will like this and other books in the 'Two Democracies' series.

    Good story idea, mediocre execution

I loved the storyline, the characters, and the setting. As with many modern science fiction novels, the concept of artificial intelligence was examined and some of the controversies surrounding AI were discussed, but it did so from an unusual point of view, a very interesting one at that. I'll not provide specifics in an effort to stay away from any potential spoiler alerts. The trouble I had with the execution of this book was what I'll call it's 'jumbled storyline'. I don't know who is at fault (the author, editors, etc) but the book was all over the place. What I mean by this is at one point the characters would be dealing with one situation and then all of a sudden we're in another place and time! There's no preamble, no chapter change, nothing - just a sudden and complete change of subject. Very distracting and unfortunate because it was this aspect that was the sole reason this book was a poor example of what could've been very good sci-fi.
