    Wow!

Thea Harrison's “Lionheart” (ARC) returns to the world of the Elder Races, and is the third in the series beginning with “Moonshadow” and “Spellbinder”. It features characters we have seen before in several of her Elder Races books, King Oberon and Dr Kathryn Shaw. Oberon is the awesomely powerful King of the Dark Fae Court. Despite being in a coma for hundreds of years, his magical Power still endangers his entire realm and people, the Other land Lyonesse. Dr Shaw is a dedicated and very skilled Wyr physician, who has played a part in previous stories featuring Dragos, the Lord of the Wyr, and the Sentinel Aryal. I have to tell you all that this book was amazing. I absolutely loved it and I couldn't put it down! Oberon has been waiting for his story for a long time, and he meets his match is the strong and determined Kathryn Shaw. Like Thea Harrison says in the novel, the Dark Court has a lot of heavy baggage, a long history of tangled grudges and ancient resentments. The injured puck Robin returns in this story, with his own loyalties and need for revenge. Oberon's cousin Annwyn has been working to keep the realm alive for many long years, and now that the crossover passageways to Lyonesse are open, she determines that Dr Shaw is the best chance of healing Oberon. I can't say much more without invoking spoilers, but I loved Kathryn Shaw's strong character—practical yet fiery, able to disconcert and challenge the most powerful creatures in any realm.

Great Conclusion to the Moonshadow trilogy

Lionheart is the third book in the Moonshadow series by Thea Harrison. This new exciting trilogy is a continuation of Elder Races series. It brings to light new faces from across the pond in the UK along with a deeper insight into the Dark and Light courts which were teased about in the Elder races series till now (For e.g. the mention of the conflict between the Light Court or the Seelie Fae, ruled by Queen Isabeau and the Dark Court or the Unseelie Fae ruled by Lord Oberon in the UK in Shadow's End). While some of the favorite characters from the U.S. demesnes do make cameos in the Moonshadow books, the focus is on illuminating a new mythos with brand new characters and relationships. We were introduced to this new world and the dark court with Moonshadow, the first book in the series. Then we delved deeper into the Light Court with Spellbinder and now time has come to complete the circle with the dark court in Lionheart This book fleshes out Dr. Kathryn Shaw, a skilled trauma surgeon and magic user. The medical retainer to Dragos himself, she is asked to cure the Dark Court ruler, Lord Oberon who has been in a magically induced coma for 200 years Lord Oberon is the highly powerful ruler of the Dark Court who fell prey to the infernal magic of Morgan la fae when he was under Isabeau's gaes. To protect himself he went into a magically induced coma and now the time has come to fight for his life and his kingdom. Together, Oberon and Kathryn work together to save him from Morgan's magic needle and then save the kingdom from Queen Isabeau. This book does justice to its name and is truly spellbinding. Thanks to publisher for the ARC

Be prepared for a wild ride!

The journey into Lyonesse to attempt to heal Oberon begins with a wild ride and it never slows down. Sometimes out of control, always passionate, Kathryn and Oberon move ever onward toward the ultimate goal. Of all their companions along the way, the one I enjoyed the most is Robin, the puck. A soul-satisfying ending!

Another well written Thea Harrison book

I received a ARC in exchange for an honest review. Yet again Thea has written another excellent book. Not only do we get to see Kathryn and meet Oberon but it is made clearer that there will be more books available in the Elder Race series. (I had believed there would be but this was still a relief). Thea is a master at character development with her characters evolving throughout the story. Lionheart is no exception to this. We've already meet Kathryn in previous books so it was great to get an understanding of what drives her. Oberon has only been talked about previously due to being in a sleep. It was great to get to know him in detail. There were several story arc's at play with the trilogy that this book is part of as well as the overarching story arch within the Elder Races. If you've been reading the series I highly recommend continuing with Lionheart. If you haven't read the series then I do suggest you start at the beginning as it will make a lot more sense.

    Loved it!

Lionheart is Dr. Kathryn Shaw & Oberon’s story. I love romance themes containing enemies to lovers and this story did not disappoint! It’s compelling from the start with Dr. Shaw playing a strong professional female lead and of course Oberon the strong alpha pushy dominant male. Their chemistry draws you in. A great story that I didn’t want to put down.
