  • Enjoyable read

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishing house and the author for the opportunity to read a complimentary advance reader copy of this book in return for a review based upon my honest opinion. This was a good summer read. Thea is hired to restore Mill Grange, she takes his job to escape and unrelenting partner that she would like to get away from, she feels that here she’ll be able to get on with her life and put some distance between them. If he doesn’t know where she is, perhaps he will move on. Meanwhile, she has to contend with the crew of volunteers who are already working on the restoration. there were many issues with the restoration and with the supporting characters. I found this book rather slow going in the beginning, sometimes there seemed to be too much information. The characters were rather interesting, I’d like the dynamic between them, and I really enjoyed the story as I kept reading. The descriptions of the Mill Grange property was very well done and I really enjoyed reading about the different ways that the restoration proceeded. All in all, a pretty good book to read.

    Thanks for your feedback!
