    Murder of Crows

I've read everything written by Annie so far and not only is she prolific she's also imaginative and a literary craftsman. Her stories are gripping, funny, fast paced and vivid. This book, indeed the series so far, is no exception proving that one can have quantity that doesn't come at the expense of quality. The story is fantastic but grounded in the real world with three dimensional characters facing three dimensional delamas and situations; yes they are fanciful situations but at their heart they are situations we all deal with everyday, family issues, romantic problems and going home again after too many years--oh and murderous sorcerers who want to eat your heart. This short novel is entertaining and unique, but familiar, it's well worth the price of admission. Enjoy!

Enjoyed this one also. Reminds me of female version of Jim Butcher's, Harry Dresden. Looking forward to getting my teeth into the next one, but hoping for a longer meal.

    Murder of Crows

After reading all 5, I have to say this was not as good as the other 4. The characters & their relationships with each other are still developing, and you learn a little bit more about the main character, but the story sorta falls flat. Despite the developing and new info, you could read all the stories but this one and it would not be that noticeable.

    Good series

I really like the heroine in this series. She is a heroine, but not very willingly so. Look forward to the next book.
