"Reaper" is a very good story!

Reading stories about ghouls is not really my thing, but Ms Carter has written a fascinating 'take' on what happens following a devastating war. I am intrigued, although the violence is a bit more graphic than I like. Andy has a new role since the war ended. She makes sure the dead reach the afterlife. A reaper - as in 'the grim reaper.' In her travels, she encounters a town with better than usual protections against the various non-human threats to their safety. There, she meets Mason, who protects the townspeople. He doesn't seem fully human, but what is he? This is a very good story, with many dangerous encounters, a bit of romance, an exploration of human frailties...a worthy read!

    A little bit different

This book was an okay book for me, mainly because it felt like it never flowed quite right and had a very wrapped up ending which still left me with lots of questions and no answers. Maybe if the book had been a bit longer things could have been explained in a little bit more detail! For example we find nothing out about the main characters family even though she supposedly killed them and you never quite find out what makes Mason so special....a bit of a scratching my head at the end type of book.
