Like running into an old friend!

It's like running into your oldest friend and realizing how much you miss them! I was so happy to hear about this book, and that there will be more! The saga continues with Rylee questioning her place in her own life and family. Can she still be a tracker after the battle with demons and the changes it brought? How will she take care of her charges? Liam tries to help by telling her to get back on the horse and track a child...and it's all uphill from there! The dialogue is seamless and one of the best parts of the book for me. If I can picture someone having the conversation, then it's real (even if it includes vampires and unicorns). The action kept me turning pages even when I should have been asleep, and I'm going to lose more sleep when I read it again. If you haven't finished the Rylee series, then get cracking so you can enjoy the new one with the rest of us! If you haven't started it yet...why not? I love this character and this story...I can't wait to see what happens next!

    Rylee's back!

For anyone who has been missing Rylee and her crew...it's finally here! A lot happened the last time we heard from Rylee. And now she has to deal with the losses and changes she and her friends have gone through. The struggle she experiences feels real and not melodramatic. A lot of times when a character becomes a vampire they go through the whole "I'm a monster" change and end up becoming whiny and annoying. Not Rylee. She is facing the challenge head on and doing what she does best. Saving children. I love how Mayer intertwines her different series. It's not easy to do, but she does it in a way that is believable, interesting, and exciting. The overlap between Rylee's series, The Elemental Series, and the Blood Borne series got me even more excited for the new installments.

    Another fantastic Rylee book!

I will say that the Rylee Adamson series is hands down, one of my all time favorites reads and that is saying a lot because I read an average of a book a day. Shannon Mayer is always true to her story and she never shies away from the hard parts she must write to keep it real. I will say that some of it was upsetting but authentic. So, we thought Rylee's journey was over but Ms. Mayer has surprised us with some epilogues to keep us happy! Rylee is dealing with being a vampire and Liam is keeping the family together. Everyone must come to terms with the new way of life but trouble never stays gone for good. I loved this continuation and if you love Rylee, you will too!

Just when the story could have ended....

Rylee faces new journeys & adventures but this time not as a tracker. Never one to back down from a chaĺlenge she accepts this search but its not just a child she seeks this time.

    Rylee the Huntress

I loved reading this one about Rylee... I was missing her character and reading about her worries about being a Daywalking Vampire and accepting who and what she has become was wonderful...scary for her at first but wonderful.. she still has her spunk and her abilities to find the lost and innocent but she has to rely on other instincts... while reading the Epilogue it brought tears to my eyes because of how Rylee had a big internal hurdle to cross over.... I can't wait to read book 2 and see what happans next... I received this as an ARC for an honest Review
