The 3 missing years were amazing

This set is the authors two Sherlock Holmes books, "The Chronicles of the Lost Year" and "The Reluctant Agent" and will not be released till the first week in March '17. If you haven't read these two books, you have to get this set. If your a lover of Conan Doyle's Sherlock books you are going to love these two books by this amazing Sherlockian lover. Conan Doyle would be amazed at not remembering writing these two books; but then he didn't. This author has embodied Doyle's style of the Sherlock Holmes stories past perfection. Her Sherlock and Watson are brought back as if they never left, as well as the stories ongoing characters and her explosive new additions. Her knowledge of Doyle's stories and the research done to make these two stories come to life is just outstanding. We get brand new insights on Mr. Holmes personal and intimate life, and Watson's telling/writing of his exploits is better than ever. The author not only fills in the three years that Mr. Doyle quit writing about this nonconventional detective, but fills in later years with just as much surprising events as we find in the missing three years. I'm not one for spoilers and I definitely do not want to give away anything here; I will say that once you start reading you will not want to put it down till the last printed word is read. I also have to say "Tracy can we please have another?" (edited)

More about the relationships and life of Sherlock

These books were a very satisfying dose of Sherlock Holmes and his amazing mystery-solving deductions as well as insights into his personal relationships, for someone who has been an ‘Elementary’ TV series addict. These stories build more of the backstory and character of Sherlock Holmes, whom I have come to know through TV’s Elementary and the Sherlock movies. I found the story very hard to put down...I wanted to know how the story would unfold and I wasn't disappointed with twists and turns to keep the mystery alive! I haven’t READ any Sherlock before so I was intrigued to read the original case chronicles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, which were the included in the Sherlock Boxed In set. Cooper-Posey’s writing style flowed seamlessly with the original writing to fill in the gaps between the cases whilst adding more depth and interest to the characters in a way that was very complimentary to the original writing.

    A worthy successor

“When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?” Doyle 1890 summed it up, the truth, yes, I believe that Tracy has given us the truth. I have only ever found two authors worthy of adding to the Sherlock saga with any degree of believability, Laurie R King and now Tracy Cooper- Posy. Being a modern woman, it is hard to see from a Victorian male perspective as Doyle wrote for the men of his time. Seeing Victorian woman in this light Tracy gives us a rare glimpse into exceptional characters larger than life and still haunting us today- Sherlock, Watson, Mycroft and those missing years, yes, the truth, an easy transition from Doyle to Cooper-Posy.

    Sherlock Boxed In

Enjoyed this mystery set in Germany & aboard with a Sherlock who had been missing for 3 years & Watson thought him dead. It turns out he was Mr Sigerson & Elizabeth Sigerson was also someone else too, they all had different characters to play in this mystery. It is the 1st time I have actually read a Holmes story & enjoyed it. Was surprised Mycroft was in this one too. I voluntarily reviewed an advance Reader Copy of this book. Tracy is a brilliant authoress & writes a great book & makes it so much easier to read.
