    gripping! nail-biting! awesome!

Another fantastic 5 star release from the amazingly talented author Sheryl Browne. Sins of the Father is the second instalment featuring DI Matthew Adams. I would recommend reading “After She’s Gone” first but it can be read as a stand-alone novel. Sheryl once again has given us a tense nail-biting thriller that will have you reading page after page, chapter after chapter. The characters are believable, and mostly likeable. After getting to know DI Matthew Adams and his family in the first novel I was rooting for them this time around and became so caught up in what was going on that I was in tears by the end of the book. The tension is unbelievable – NEVER before have I cried whilst reading a thriller. Sheryl Browne has a way of telling a story that really pulls you in and twists your heart with each scene. This is a fast paced, gripping action thriller. As with all of Sheryl’s books I would suggest finding yourself a comfy chair, switch off your phones and get yourself a large glass of wine and some chocolate… you will need it!

    Gripping

"I received a copy of this book from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest Review. A gripping tale with non stop plot twists and characters that were well developed. Once started I could not put it down. I look forward to reading more from this talented author.

    Fantastic book

Wowsers!!! I have literally just finished this book and I'm all over the place. This book is an absolute gut wrenching, heartbreaking, edge of the seat read. The story centres around DI Matthew Adams and his wonderful family. He is unknowingly plunged into Internet fame and for the very worst reason possible. With no memory of the incident it's up to him to try and determine what happened and who is out to get him. This book is brilliantly written. I loved the Adams family and hated the "bad guy". The characters are so easy to relate to. You feel the heartbreak and devastation right along side them. There were times reading this book that I didn't think my heart was going to make it. Read this book. Lock yourself in a room....bring tissues and wine!!! A fantastic book!!

Wow - what a psychological & gripping rollercaster

Sins of the father oh boy ... is DI Matthew Adams ever going to get a break .... The first book, After She's gone, saw the poor man lose a child and saw his wife & niece kidnapped. As if that wasn't bad enough .... the lovely Matthew is now on the run for something he says he didn't do. The problem is...he can't remember anything about it either Join DI Adams, Becky and Ashley on a rollercoaster ride of a book. This is one almighty gripping read. Had me holding my breath and crying in some seriously tense moments. I would say I was on the edge of my seat .... but most of the time I was standing on a train .... but you know what I mean! This is an incredible read and I have complete admiration and give abundant praise to Sheryl.

    A really thrilling read

This is the second in the series and though you can thoroughly enjoy it without having read the first, I would recommend it is done in the right order. I enjoyed this so much I'm now going to have to read the first...! I have read and loved Sheryl's contemporary romances (Learning to Love and the Rest of my Life) so had no hesitation in reading this, even though it's a change of genre for me. Sheryl's writing is as easy to read as always, and her characters so brilliantly drawn you have to root for them. It is action packed and fast paced. A really thrilling read.
