    Thanks for your feedback!

    Very disappointing

I read about two books per week, mainly chic-lit style and often end up with a variety of books from the same author - if I enjoy one book I will then look for & buy other from the same writer. This book, sadly, will remain in my library without the company of others from the series / writer. The whole book just felt ‘clunky’ the storyline itself had promise, but the method of conveying the story let it down. I’ve never read any Animal Ark books as a child or adult so I felt that this book was trying to cram as many references to past characters as possible to justify the link with the series, the same with the explanations of the veterinary procedures which seemed to be in more detail than needed as if to prove the writer’s knowledge of this, and it all just added to that clunky feeling that was throughout the book, right to the end which felt like everything was all shoved together to conclude in the final sentences & felt rather abrupt and rushed as if they ran out of word count. There are much better books out there, I’ve given it two stars as I managed to finish it rather than abandoning it, but that was more down to the storyline than the writing. This is my first review, I’ve read an awful lot of books and have never bothered to review any of them, but the poor writing of this one pushed me to do this. Don’t get me wrong, hats off to the writer, I certainly couldn’t write a book, so she had accomplished much more than me, but sadly, I think she should stick to the day job of being a vet.
