  • Great story with twists and turns

This story grabbed me from the first page. Rosie and Tanner meet and there’s definitely an immediate connection. But why? What is the connection between them and what part do their families play? A great read with characters you care about and some fascinating twists and turns. Thoroughly enjoyed this novel in a great seaside location. Highly recommend!

  • A great trip to the seaside.

This is another pleasant trip to the seaside at Morton S Grey’s fictional Borteen Bay, with new characters and locations, but also with some mentions of old friends and places. The story was entertaining, and although it really could only go one way (as it did), that didn’t matter, I romped through it in no time and enjoyed the journey. I would certainly like a stay at Lucerne Lodge …. I heartily recommend the book for a good read.

  • A Great Summer Read

I’m always excited by another Morton S Gray book, and Summer at Lucerne Lodge didn’t disappoint. Tanner and Rosie are such superb characters that you can’t help fall in love with and will to succeed, but there’s a huge reason why they can’t get together. Morton’s fast paced story had a tension that had me completely hooked from page one. And the Lucerne Lodge Retreat sounds like somewhere I'd love to go!

  • Great mix of mystery and romance

Morton S Gray alludes to characters from her other novels set in Borteen (Mandy, Nick and Justin) but it is a standalone book so you don’t have to read them in order to understand this story. Rosie works for Borden Glass and attends a lavish fundraising party at Lucerne Lodge (owned by the company owner Michael Bryant). After Tanner (Michael’s son) accidentally knocks a tray of prawn cocktail over Rosie, she disappears from the party. She then keeps bumping into Tanner and wonders if he is stalking her or if it is coincidental. From there, a chain of events happen which keep you guessing how things will be resolved. Very well written and kept me hooked until the end. I had empathy with both Rosie and Tanner as they both went through tough times brought on by others.

  • Twists and turns

This was a story full of twists and turns that kept me guessing all through. The start doesn't bode well for Tanner and Rosie but their intertwined lives and relationships just keep going. I found that all of the characters were very real and, unusually in a romance, their reactions and behaviour were very believable. I really empathised with them all, the plot drew me totally into their lives. At one point I thought that I had nearly finished the book, but no, another twist appeared. A really great story which I am sure you will enjoy as much as I did.
