  • The Beachside Flower Stall.

When Carrie's first loveTom , was taken over by a pushy schoolfriend, Megan, the night of his 21st birthday, her reaction was to move away. Years later she goes back to her childhood home to look after her aunts flower stall while she fights a bout of depression, and finds Megan finally about to marry Tom, now a local vet. Can she sit on the sidelines and watch it happen? What is Megans hold over Tom, who doesn't appear to want to marry her, and why does she want him so badly?? A lovely read, i liked Carries' aunt a lot, with her own tragic past and battle to cope every year. A great story of interwoven family lives.

  • A disappointing read

I have read a number of Karen Clarke's books and find that the Beachside series not to be as enjoyable as the Little French Cafe and Seashell Cove series. The Beachside Flower Stall is lacking in something that I cannot quite put my finger on. I didn't care what happened to the characters. The baddy, of the piece was not believable. I have never met anybody who was so lacking in any good features. Most importantly I didn't laugh once. What was there to laugh about? Nothing I could discern. Disappointing.

    Thanks for your feedback!
