    Good read!

When a skull is found in Black Rock Falls, Montana during hiking and hunting season, Detective Jenna Alton and Deputy David Kane are called in to investigate. Soon, other bodies turn up. As they go out on the hiking trails to solve the mystery, lots of things happen that kept me guessing until the end of the book. This is not my usual genre but I really enjoyed it and I enjoyed the characters of Jenna Alton and David Kane. I have not read any of the previous books in the series but I did not feel like I needed to in order to enjoy this book. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this very good book.

    Heart stopping read

Black Falls Rock and hunting season is here. It all starts with the discovery of a skull in the forest. Kane, Alton and the team work tirelessly to catch the hunter and save his prey as the death toll rises. I held my breath a few times and my heart rate shot up and I'm slightly in love with Deputy Kane. D. K. Hood subtlety and expertly plants the clues throughout the read, which I love. I loved it and I want more!

    The crying season

This is the fourth book in the series, one of my favourite authors these books have everything, once you start reading its impossible to put down, the characters are, great, edge of your seat thriller with an ending you don't see coming. Eagerly awaiting the next book. If you like a fast paced thriller this series is a must.

It’s hunting season in Black Rock Falls

‘Psychopaths are welcome in Black Rock Falls’ Winter is coming to Black Rock Falls. The temperature is dropping but this does not deter the hunters of Montana and not just those who are game hunting… There is a serious psycho-hunter on the prowl! His MO is seriously twisted as MOs go but as I learnt more about his killing spree, my blood chilled with a shocking extra layer to the way this psychopath killer operates. D.K. Hood has created a extreme killer this time, I’m scared to think what goes on in this woman’s head sometimes! “Why do these lunatics keep choosing Black Rock Falls?” As with the previous Kane and Alton books, I got to spend a bit of time with the evil individual who is tormenting Black Rock Falls. This psychopath is a strange individual, getting kicks from the hunt and the kill of his victims. But the “well-oiled machine” that is the Black Rock Falls Sheriff’s Department are on hand. I have loved this team since I met them back in Don’t Tell A Soul. And as the team has grown in strength, they’ve become more rounded as a crime fighting team. Their team work is brilliant, each playing to their strengths and not afraid to learn new skills. All I can say is D.K. Hood, you’ve done it again, another excellent crime thriller that is dark and twisted! Thank you and keep them coming!!
