  • Loved this book!

The Liar’s Child took me on a journey and I’m still thinking about it now. I felt every bit of pain and each obstacle that Kay and Matt were enduring. With young daughter, Poppy, being so sick, this really added to the tension. I can only imagine the level of research needed for this book and fully appreciated every bit of it. When Olivia came into their lives, it was like, WHAT? That’s where the secrets and lies came into it all. So many of them too. I found myself hurrying through to find out what was going on and my oh my, they were huge! If you love a psychological thriller with so much at stake and giant helpings of family drama, then this book is perfect. It’s both white knuckle and heartbreaking at the same time. It certain had me reading into the early hours as I couldn’t put it down!

  • Another Hit!

Sheryl Browne never disappoints with her twisty psychological thrillers! The Liar's Child will hold your interest all the way through running every emotion you can muster. Lots going on but responsibly told by the author. Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC!

  • Loved!!!!!

My Review: If you never picked up a Sheryl Browne book then you don’t know what you are missing out on. I have loved every book I have read by her and this one is no different. When I get started with one of her books time flies and I can not put it down for the life of me. Also be warned with this book you definitely need tissues near by. It got me so teary eyed and I had to stop a few times to get my emotions back in check. This story really pulled at my heart strings. I felt so bad for what this family was going through. There was a lot of heartache and some of it was unnecessary as you find out by the end of the book. Oh that ending. Let’s talk about that for a minute. Wow, when all the secrets came out, my mind was blown. I couldn’t believe it. Everyone was not as innocent as they seem to be. Some of them were down right dirty and nasty. You will know who I’m talking about when your done with the book. I hated that character by the end and they had no redeeming qualities about them. Well Sheryl Browne you done it again, you went and wrote a fantastic book. I can’t wait to read your next one. Between the plot, characters and all the twists in this book it made it an easy and fast read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • Surprise Ending

Overall a good read. The middle started to drag a bit for me, but the end was a surprise! The story centers around a married couple trying to find a way to save their daughter's life, she needs a transplant. Oddly, Poppy makes a new friend, who happens to look enough like her she could be her twin. Hence starts the accusations and lies amongst the adults, each accusing the other of having an affair. I think what slowed down the flow of the book for me in the middle was the adult's interactions. Started to get to be a bit much, and at times left me confused. Great plot, and a nice reveal at the end as to who the liar is. I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

  • A Sterling Read

This, my sixth novel by the talented author Sheryl Browne was as absorbing and exhilarating as the previous ones, including The Marriage Trap and The New Girlfriend. In The Liar's Child, the reader is privy to an exciting and intriguing prologue that hooked me in immediately. I was introduced to Kay and Matt Young who have a five-year-old daughter, Poppy. Little Poppy has medical needs because of her acute kidney disease. Matt is a paediatrician working long hours, and Kay has become disillusioned with her marriage, but the couple needs to be on the same page regarding Poppy. Both Kay and Matt have long-hidden secrets... This is a sterling read and a veritable spiders web of secrets, lies and obsession. It boasts a solid fast-paced plot, together with shedloads of drama. A psychological thriller full of secrets, revenge, jealousy and sibling rivalry, no one escaped this story unscathed and the events that I didn't predict made this novel interesting and unexpected. The chapters were relatively short and snappy, giving me a dreadful case of just one more chapter syndrome. This well-executed, cleverly written, complex story also explored the feelings of the main characters and their motives and justifications, all culminating in an unexpected ending. The unique way with the narrative that Sheryl Browne possesses made this intoxicating and enthralling story stand out from many of the others in this genre. Thanks, Sheryl Browne for this fantastic book! I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from Bookouture via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.
