    A great story

The complexity of life's paths and human emotions together with the simplicity of wisdom and wholeness. Passionately and beautifully narrated.

    Light beween oceans

Very Slow to start with. The story gripped me about a quarte of the way into the book. Then i couldnt put it down. I couldnt see a solution to the storyline but the author cleverly brought it to an emoional and fair ending. Loved it

    Light between oceans

This is a beautifully written story. It resonated deeply within me. It focuses on the ever changing closeness/distance between places and people; to human connectedness to time/place as well as to those we know and love; and also the elusive nature of all hearts and minds from themselves and each other in challenging times and times of momentous happenings. Tom and Isobel live on a remote island. Tom is the lighthouse keeper. When a boat washes up on the shore, with a dead man and a living baby girl in it, the future lives of Tom and Isobel are forever changed by the decisions they make. Set in an antipodean (pre and post) great war world, 'The Light Between Oceans' captures waves of impact. The journey follows the seismic fallout after what seems to be an innocuous and entirely human decision. Emotional, intense, moving and incredibly sad, this book kept me engaged until the last page was turned.

    Very emotional

Interesting story. Your emotions are constantly mixed, thinking of wrong and right. And the question; what would I have done? Putting yourself in each character's shoes.
