    Great Urban Fantasy Series

I am a really big fan of urban fantasy and this series is a really good example of urban fantasy done right. Laurel does a really good job and integrating the Norse mythos into the book. This book allows people that really don't have any knowledge of the mythos to come into the series and not feel left out. Since the main character is like that, there are a lot of explanations throughout the book to fill in the main character The plot of this book is really interesting and it used all of the characters to expand on the story. The overarching storyline was handled very well, with the little storylines tying into the theme of the books. I enjoyed how the character development was very important to the overall story, which pushed the entire story forward. The characters were developed in just the right way to be interesting, however, some of the plot twists were a little out of nowhere. I felt like the character Helen needed a little more build up to her, as she is the main enemy during the entirety of the book. I enjoy books that give us a lot of background to the main antagonist, and I felt like that was lacking in this book. Thorin, Solina and Skyla were the characters that were built up the most in this book series. They had the most backstory and character development, however, that might be because they were the characters that were seen the most by the reader. Overall, this was an excellent book series. The ending was a little out of nowhere, however, it was a really fun read. I received a complimentary copy of the trilogy for my honest review.
