    So worth it!

Wish it could have gone on longer. Much of it read in the middle of the night in guilty, silent pleasure.

    Guilty treat

I have never read Neil Gaiman before, even though he has been writing for quite some time now. This is a beautiful story of worldly wonders and growing up. A guilty treat; to dive into an ocean and emerge in an unfamiliar but delightfully strange world.

    Great book

This is a classic Neil Gaiman. On finishing it I feel as if I have skimmed across the top of a deep ocean full of meaning. I now it's there, I can feel it's power, but it's just out if reach. Oddly similar to the main parts of the story. I feel that the book did not provide answers to lots of outstanding questions, but I don't much mind.

    Visionary

This is a marvellously imaginative novel full of pictures and Potteresque magical images. Whilst I feel sure it was written with young readers in mind Neil Gaiman had the adult ones in his sights. It was a great read.

Tout ce qu'on aime chez Gaiman.

On y trouve un enfant comme héros, trois figures féminines, des chats, de la nostalgie et la mort. Ou pas.
