  • Lovely escapism

This was a warm and very humorous book about thirty something Ruby who, after multiple disastrous relationships, has given up on finding Mr Right or even Mr Acceptable to be honest and has decided to strike out her own man free plans for her future. This starts with a train journey to London where she meets Lewis who is so keen to tell her about his plans to propose to his girlfriend that day and show her the ring that her faith in romance is restored however after Lewis departs the train early she realises he has left the ring behind, Curtis, another passenger, doesn’t trust Ruby and refuses to let her return the ring on her own resulting in a very unlikely pairing trying to reunite ring and owner. Ruby was a vivacious character and her relationship past really had me smiling, I really loved her manager Kim who has her own tale to tell and I thought Curtis was a fabulous character, saw everything in black and white and genuinely didn’t understand other people, the contrast between him and Ruby worked so well and the way they interacted built up really well throughout the book. This is definitely my favourite Bella Osborne yet as it provided a really cheerful escape.

  • Fun and uplifting summer romance, holiday read

I love Bella Osborne's books and this is one of my favourites so far. I really loved it and enjoyed it. It's the perfect book to read at this time of the year and it would be a great holiday book as it is easy to read and it is fun. The story is about a lovely woman called Ruby who finds great friendship in a unique and special man called Curtis. Ruby works in a florist with her friend Kim and they have a fun friendship and enjoy helping each other. Ruby and Kim have had their problems with love and romance in the past. Will they find their happily every afters? Read the book to find out! I thoroughly enjoyed this fun and uplifting summertime book and I highly recommend it.

  • Lovely summer read

A chance meeting on a train gives Ruby the hope that romance is alive and well, even if it needs a helping hand. She’s desperate for a knight in shining armour to come into her life and this handsome stranger seems to fit the bill, even if he is about to propose to someone else. When he accidentally leaves the engagement ring on the train she is determined get it back to him. She doesn’t expect to be deterred by another passenger. I loved Ruby from the start, she’s open, generous and desperate for love. Having recently lost her mum, there is a big hole in her life that she needs to fill, and having kissed so many frogs, she’s desperate for Prince Charming to come into her life. This is a lovely read, funny, entertaining and a really nice read. The characters are entertaining, realistic and easy to empathise with. It’s comfort reading with several plot lines and an unexpected twist. Well worth a read. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.
