  • Steamy historical romance!

I have always loved historical romances, although lately it has been harder to find books that take the steaminess to a new level. The Serpent's Kiss has done that splendidly here, with a two sexy hot rakes a la Vaughan and Lucerne, and their lady love interest, Lady Annabelle Rushdale. The taboo element and the resulting fallout is captured and portrayed very well. I felt the opposing forces and kept rooting for this hot trio to get their acts together. The chemistry oozed off the pages, and Vaughan was an amazingly sexy ringleader. One thing I would have liked to see was a clearer declaration of love at the end, though it was quite endearing already, call me old-fashioned!

  • Love this book

The book is well written, very descriptive and somewhat lengthy. Of all three characters I loved Vaughn most of all. He was direct and upfront with his feelings and desires. Bella could not admit her love for the two men and was very insecure of her place in Vaughn’s life. She denied her feelings for Lucerne and after he left the two of them, she was afraid to admit she needed him back in her life. The bulk of the book was about Vaughn trying to get the three of them back together. It is very drawn out but it keeps your attention as you never know what will happen next. There are a lot of other happenings in the book that add to the story in a minor way. There is a HEA but a lot happens before this comes about. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and would highly recommend it as a great read. I would like to have seen an Epilogue to see how they were faring in about a years time. This is something I greatly enjoy in a book but because there is not one in this book it does not distract from the story, it is still a great read.

  • Very Good Ménage

Set in about 1800, this threesome is about two titled Lords and one lusty woman of a well off family. Their obviously was a book before this one, but starting at this point works well. The two men were together first, then she ran off with one and met the other in London. They do have to be careful when out off London as it’s illegal for two men to be lovers, punishable by hanging. I’ve never understood that since adolescents were housed in dorms and did it all the time. It’s an interesting story and interesting characters, many of them.
