  • Beautifully written, this book has it all.

This book was a great read. Beautifully written, it explores family loyalties, the line between good and bad and how the past continues to haunt the present. This plot driven story keeps you turning the pages. Cornwall, drama, smuggling and the harsh realities of 18th century England, add to the mix, a great love story, this book has it all and won't disappoint.

  • A joy to read

Eloquently written in a very easy to read style, The Thief's Daughter was a joy to read. I was instantly taken back a few hundred years to when smuggling was rife and life was hard. No more so for Jenna, who's a strong but very easy to like heroine. This book isn't just about smuggling, it's about family ties, about betrayal and about love, the relationship between Jenna and Jack beautifully woven throughout. And to top it all, it has a gorgeous hero in the swoon worthy Jack. Loved it!

  • Full of drama

This is a fantastic, gripping read, full of drama and passion, with a wonderful sense of place. I loved the relationship dynamics in the novel. Jenna, the heroine, has to deal with so many conflicting feelings and I thought these were skilfully portrayed. It was also fascinating to absorb the historical details, which were woven into the story very naturally. And last but not least, Jack Penhale is a very appealing hero!
