    The Velvet Cloak of Moonlight

This is the first time I have come across Christina and her books. This is her 11th book. I'll be looking for more! This is a paranormal story. I am not sure if it is a time travel but the book has a few ghosts pop up here and there. Christina put her story line in a bit different way to read. She really had a hand full with her people! Spoiler. There are so many spoilers in this book it is hard to follow them all. Arabella is from King Charles time. She is an ousted heiress. Spoiler. She meets Sir Rhys and they like each other. Tess is a widow. Her late husband was the Earl of Merrick and his heir is to come and take over. Josh has to come from New Zealand. He doesn't want to stay and runs into Rosie who says her son, is the heir. Spoiler. This story is read bouncing back and forth in the chapters with time changes. This is a book along the lines of an Outlander book. I like this book a lot and will now look for more books. Don't pass this by. Enjoy reading this book! I have this book for an honest review for NetGalley.

    Romance

The past and the present are inextricably entwined in this novel that links a romance from the past to one taking place in the present. Both are tied to Merrick Court, an ancient treasure and paranormal experiences that include seeing ghosts and seeing visions of what happened in the past. Arabella Dauncy and Rhys Cadell star in the romance of the past and their story is interspersed with that of Tess and Josh who live in the present. A lot happens in this novel with besiegement of a castle in the past, a casino owner in the present pressuring Tess with monetary and other demands and relatives in both eras causing difficulties. This was an enjoyable read with interesting characters and I would like to thank NetGalley and ChocLit for the ARC of this novel given in exchange for my honest review.
