    Sit back and enjoy

Does this exist being too damn nice? Well, if you had any doubts, this story will prove it to you. It is ok being there for others and respecting their wishes, but sometimes you have to put yourself first, make clear what you want and stop being so damn nice. Is this what Nick is going to do or will he keep the lock on his feelings? There is only one way to find out and that is by reading this beautiful story. Kathryn Freeman is fast becoming one of my favourite authors. She manages to take you somewhere glamourous but the glitter is not really important. She focuses on the feelings of her characters and keeps you interested until the last full stop. I could have finished the book a lot sooner but i did not want to because I did not want the story to end. I don't know about you, but I am looking forward to the next book.

    Brilliant!

When Lizzie Donavue moves to America to take up a new modelling contract, she has to leave her brother’s best friend Nick Templeton behind. When the man she’s started to develop feelings for turns down her offer of sex so Lizzie is forced to concede maybe Nick doesn’t feel the same way about her. Yet on the other side of the world, when disaster strikes it is not her new friends but Nick who is there for her. And Nick promises he always will be, but is that enough for either of them? The dynamics between Lizzie and Nick work so well. They are obviously attracted to each other, but neither is entirely sure how the other feels. On the face of it they are complete opposites. Will a short term fling damage their friendship forever? Or can a long distance relationship ever work? Is Lizzie ready to turn her back on the Hollywood models and take a chance on an accountant from England, or is he really too damn nice? A great story. It has everything, loveable characters you can really empathise with. A handsome hero, a beautiful heroine, but with emotions so real and raw that at times they weren’t the only ones in tears. I was given this book to read in exchange for a review and I couldn’t put it down, I was only sorry when I got to the end. A beautifully written book by a very talented author.

    Too Damn Nice

Lizzie is a model. She is beautiful & stunning and loves the glamour & glitz involved. Nick is an acountant, a brother's best friend, sees himself as boring but reliable. At 18 Lizzie moves away to New York to become a model for a giant modelling agency there . She has an amazing career and throws herself into that to forget about those she loves but left behind. She has difficult times and on one particular occassion, asks her family to come over because she feels so alone. On their way to her, they are involved in a road accident, she loses both parents and her brother is left in a coma. Her brother's best friend, Nick, has always had a soft spot for Lizzie and drops everything to be with her, comfort and protect her. When things are settling down again, Lizzie (Elizabeth in the model world) wakes to find herself in the middle of a sex scandal that she has no knowledge of and is likely to ruin her career. Hiding herself away she avoids everyone and everything. Nick arrives banging on her door demanding she speak to him. Lizzie has to try to recall what has happened, Nick already knows everything as it's been plastered all over the papers and Internet. He arranges a top US attorney to help Lizzie and whisks her back to England to get away from everything and where he can keep a watchful eye on. Unbeknown to each other, they have had feelings for each other but neither will admit it. A classic case of stubbornness and pride with a humongous dose of will she / won't she .... will they/won't they... along with lots of giggles and a fair few tears and a generous dose of heart in the mouth moments thrown in too. Another delightful read from the lovely Kathryn. She manages to hook you into the story until you are so absorbed you find yourself pretending you are that person. In case there is any uncertainty, I loved this one ! 😂

Great story with wonderful characters you will rea

Loved this story and could not put it down! Nick is the boy next door - loyal, dependable and just a really "nice" guy. Lizzie moves to the USA to become an international model. Can these two ever find true love in such different worlds? You really start to care about these two characters and what makes them tick and act as they do. You will laugh and cry with them. This is my favourite novel this year!

    Great Read!

Lizzie and Nick – the love story that never was. Nick loved Lizzie when she was 18 but was prevented from acting on it when she announced her move to New York for a modeling contract. Lizzie loved Nick but was prevented from acting on it after a tragic accident and her resulting feelings of not deserving his love. Circumstances have brought them together again – will love finally shine through for them both? This novel was a tear-jerker for me. I enjoyed both characters tremendously and enjoyed the twists and turns as they navigated back to each other. I was provided a free advance copy of this book in return for an honest review. My honest review is that this book was fantastic and I will be going back to read others by this same author – she has a real way with bringing out the emotions in her characters. Well done!
