    Compelled to write a review!

I don't usually writes reviews as I'm far from gifted when expressing my thoughts in writing. You'd think after 15 books and few novellas of the same series you'd have enough and get bored.... Well, reality check! No, that's a BIG NO! This series in one of my favourites! Even though it's of the same arc, the plots are never the same and keeps you guessing until the end. In the Elemental Assassin series, as well as in this book "Unravelled" you get witty cracks that make you laugh, dirty and obnoxious villains you can't wait until they get a taste of Gin's wrath, characters you fall in love with and can't get enough of and suspense to make you want to keep reading! When I first started reading "Unravelled" and saw the theme was going towards a Western style, I thought, oh no I hate westerns. I should of known better than to think that. As always with Jennifer Estep's writing, I was quickly and completely drawn into the adventure and excitement. Gin, The Spider Assassin, is facing a new threat and a complex conspiracy tied into and her past. Even you're not left on a cliffhanger, the unravelling of the plot in this book, made me anxious and impatient to read the next novella and book! Which i've already pre-ordered! Thank you Jennifer Estep for your amazing writing! You've created a world where I can escape to!

Gin's Back And Better Than Ever!

Poor Gin Blanco– she just can't catch a break! Luckily, the Spider knows how to handle herself in any situation, and UNRAVELED is no different. I absolutely loved this book. It was fun and exciting, and even though the major action didn't start until halfway through the book, it reminded me why I love this series so much. The characters are fantastic and make me smile, the villains are wicked, the descriptions are vivid, the mysteries are intriguing, and the action is stellar. I really loved the conspiracy involving Gin's past, which is deeper and more complex than even I could have guessed. I desperately want to know more about these new threats and am counting the days until the next novella and book. Getting back on track, I'm not a huge fan of Westerns, but I thought this was a really fun setting and a unique addition to a series I'm completely addicted to. Even after 15 books and multiple novellas, I'm still not tired of this series, and never will be. A must read for all of Gin's fans and urban fantasy lovers!

Exciting book in a fascinating world

If you have been following my reviews for any length of time, you know that I have been a HUGE fan of Jennifer Estep's Elemental Assassin series since the very first book. And if you haven't or are new to the series, I strongly suggest starting from book 1. This is an on going series, and each story builds on the next to create a fascinating world full of unique and complex characters. In the last full book, Gin was taunted with information that led her to discover what she thought she knew about Ashland's criminal activities was the mere tip of the iceberg. A group called the Circle has been manipulating and plotting from behind the scenes for decades. And she was just informed that not only was Mab Monroe a member, but so was her very own mother. Talk about turning your world upside down! So when Finn receives a surprise inheritance from his recently departed mother, they decided to take a break and go check out this Old West Theme park and resort. But of course, just like the last time Gin and the gang tried to get away for a few days, there is no relaxation to be found. And when Brea, Finn and Owen are held prisoner, it will take all of Gin's resourcefulness and the help of their friends to overcome the odds stacked against them. This was an exciting book, full of all the action and resourcefulness that we have come to expect from Gin. One thing you have to admit about Gin, she may get knocked down, but she comes up swinging. This was a magnificent addition to the series. Pocket Books and Netgalley provided me with this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
