Scottish regency Romance at its best

You know you are in for an exceptional reading experience when you start a new book and you realize as you read the first chapter you are totally captivated by the author’s storyline and totally drawn to its main characters of Edward (Nick) Wyeth, Viscount Stirling a swoon worthy patient and sometimes frustrated hero and Isobel Lochlannach a strong willed and independent Scottish lass who is very opinionated when it came to her feelings about English Lords, love and marriage. One of my all-time favorite genres to read is Scottish Highlander Regency Romances. In my opinion this novel is an example of Scottish Romance at its Best! This story had it all, impeccable writing, strong multi- dimensional characters that are believable and endearing, a plot with substance that is masterfully written and keeps the reader interested in how it will end as well as twists, turns and an epilogue that enhances the plot. It has all the elements of a really good romance with just the right amount of emotion, drama and wit. Many people purchase a book by storyline for that reason I don’t do detailed storyline spoilers. I feel it is unfair to the author to describe the book in detail when writing is their livelihood. In my personal opinion, this story is an outstanding read that I highly recommend. I received an advanced readers copy from the Publisher through NetGalley for my honest opinion. It was a pleasure to read and review this book.

    I Love a Strong Heroine!

I loved the story of Nick and Isobel. With the way it was written, I could just see him in his kilt in my mind by the descriptions given! Isobel is extremely strong minded and knows what she wants, or at least she thought she did until she met Nick. Nick sets out to win her and has his hands full! The ending was pretty awesome I must say! I was given an ARC by NetGalley.

    historical romance

What a Highlander's Got To Do by Sabrina York Untamed Highlanders #5 Looking for an easy to read simple romance that is rather predictable? Want a feisty female heroine? Want a Lord to marry the heroine? Want a horse chase and save? Want push-pull with both H&h undecided? This might be the book for you. That said…I really liked the previous books in this series but felt this one needed more…more about why Isobel was so leery…why Nick was the way he was…why Celia and her mom go away with what they did…so many times…The story was wrapped up in a bow by the end but it was not my favorite book by this author. That said…I will read her next book to see if I like it better. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC – This is my honest review. 2-3 Stars

    excellent read

This was a fun story about Isobel, who is independent, intelligent and fierce about not getting married. She and her family are making a trip from Scotland to London for the season. She is waiting for them to catch up. She is out riding and meets a lad, she assumes he is from the stable, but he is so much more. When she gets home ,one day her family is waiting for her and then they are off. The stable boy turns out to be Edward Nicholas Wyeth, Viscount Stirling. He has started to care for Isobel. Everybody ends up in London for the season, and he has to somehow stay away from Celia, she wants him. This story is exciting and warming. The characters are so neat and life like. They also help keep the tale interesting. There are some hiccups in the plot but it does keep your attention and eager to keep reading. I loved the interaction between all the young people. Of course, Sabrina York never disappoints with her novels. I received this ARC from Net Galley and voluntarily reviewed it.

    A Delightful Fun Story

Mistaken identity often turns out delightful. Such is that case with Isobel Dounreay Lochlannach, meets a stable hand ( or so she thinks) who saves her from a terrible accident. Nick Wyeth, Viscount Stirling is enchanted when he meets her and there is definitely a strong spark of attraction between the two. Of course there will be nothing easy between Isobel, who is a very independent, feisty Scottish lass and Nick, an English lord determined to have her. Meeting in secret and still having not knowing each others identity, they part when Isobel goes to London with her family. Well as fate would have it they meet again in London and each finds out the others true identity. This is a delightful story that enchants with the banter back and forth between the two. But Isobel wants to be back in Scotland and have her freedom and Nick just wants her for himself. A light read with some drama and a lot of emotions that overall was enjoyable.
