    Thanks for your feedback!

    Adorable!

For anyone who is a Hinch fan, Chasing Checkers gives us a glimpse of how he got to where he is today (well, apart from the dancing, of course). It's fast-paced, and keeps you reading. I couldn't put it down - literally read it in one evening. As someone new to this whole racing thing, I was happy to be able to follow the action and learn a bit more about racing. Well done, Chris - and write faster!!

    Chasing Checkers surprised me!

Chasing Checkers surprised me! Character and plot development were good that once I finished I was looking to pick up the next book! A great peak behind the curtains of pro athletes in the making!

    I loved it!

It is an easy and enjoyable read that feels targeted to a Young Adult audience, which I think is completely appropriate for relating to the main character. The last flashback in the Chex epilogue was a perfect ending to tie the whole story together. Teddy's story line seems to be wrapped up cleanly with the end of one major chapter of his life, but could easily be continued as he grows up if there was ever a sequel, not to mention the confused teenage love interests that could be unraveled (or tangled) further at the same time. My favourite parts were the racing scenes, especially the last one. I could clearly imagine the emotions Teddy was feeling, and could honestly picture someone like James Hinchcliffe telling the story in attention-grabbing detail for each corner and each passing maneuver. I think this will be a big hit for the race fans that like to immerse themselves in a believable story to which they can relate, and for anyone curious about a racecar driver's perspective (even if you're not into watching it at all). It would make a great audio-book too!

    Change of perspective

Awesome book! As a true race fan, I found this so interesting to see racing from a totally different perspective. I never thought about what drivers think or feel as they are going 150 or more mph. And as a true Hinch fan since joining IndyCar, it is interesting to see how he came up through the ranks. Thanks for letting people see a whole different side of this dangerous sport.

    I really enjoyed this book!

As a race fan, I couldn't wait to read Chasing Checkers. After reading the book, I realize that you don't necessarily need to be a race fan to enjoy it. The main character, Teddy, is an aspiring race car driver, but there is more to him than that. The revelation by Allison, another driver, caught me totally by surprise, which is hard to do. Congratulations to Christopher Hinchcliffe for a job well done. I would like to see this become a series.
