    Using a credit card

You can use your credit card to pay for items from the Kobo Bookstore.

If you’re using a credit card, we’ll attempt to authorize it when you place your order. If your credit card provider does not authorize the charge, you will see a message indicating this onscreen. Your credit card will not be billed unless you confirm purchase of an item.

Kobo accepts common payment options such as Paypal, Visa Checkout, Visa Credit, Visa Debit, Master Card, and Amex. You may see different payment options depending on what country you're purchasing an item from.

    Authorizing your credit card

If you're having trouble paying with your credit card, you may need to check your credit card information.

Sometimes credit card authorizations fail because of an incorrect expiry date or a wrong digit in a credit card number. Verify that the information is correct and then re-submit your order. Learn more about changing your payment information.

If your billing information looks correct and your order still fails to authorize, please contact your credit card provider for further assistance, or place your order again using a different credit card.
