A good cozy mystery, entertaining and engrossing. I liked the solid mystery, the well thought cast of characters and the setting. Can't wait to read the next instalment in this series. Recommended. Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

    Chocolate, wine and murder

Norrie Ellington and the other members of WOW are hosting a chocolate and wine extravaganza at their wineries. When world famous chocolatiers descend upon the Finger Lakes, the wine and chocolate are flowing. But when one of the contestants is murdered, Norrie and the gang are on high alert. With their condescending airs, it’s easy to see how every contestant would want to kill the chocolatier. But in a not to Agatha Christie and Murder on the Orient express, Norrie wonders whether there is more than one murderer. No matter how much the police remind her to stay out of the investigation, Norrie just can’t help herself and comes face to face with a killer. Will she be the next victim or will luck be on her side? An enjoyable series with a scriptwriter who is moonlighting and running her family’s winery. Norrie isn’t perfect, but she’s perfectly imperfect and a protagonist the reader can relate to. Love the cast of characters and one attitude challenged goat!

Cozy Mystery in The Finger Lakes Region

I have read all of the books in this series and, like wine, they get better with age. Part of it is getting to know the backstory. Most of it is that the mysteries are getting to be less obvious and take longer to figure out. I did not have a clue until the did the final reveal. It was a good story with lots of local color to go along with the chocolate and wine. I received this ARC book for free from Net Galley and this is my honest review.
