    An Officer and a Spy

It was too long and in a few places repetitive to the extent that I started "skim reading" just to get through it. I like Robert Harris' work "Enigma" which is in a different class to this occasionally laboured effort.

    Interesting history

This is meant to be a historically accurate account of an actual set of events layed out as a novel with sufficient poetic license to make it flow. To that end it is a good read.

    An Officer and a Spy

Admittedly, at the outset, I'm a big Robert Harris fan. However, I'd have to say that in this book he's outdone himself. Undoubtedly his best ever.

    I liked it

I just sat up much later than usual to finish this book. Beautifully written and faithful to the documented record.

    A great read

I started this book with only minimal knowledge of the Dreyfus Affair. The book read quickly and flowed well. I was constantly checking facts online, and found the author was quite faithful to the historical record. It was an enjoyable read, and a great way to learn a little history.
