Bad Boy Brody, a 5 Star read

Bad Boy Brody by the incredibly talented author Tijan is a full length, standalone, romance novel. It´s a story about loss, heartbreak, love and living again. Brody Asher lost his brother in a horrible acident and he goes from Hollywoods Golden to Bad Boy fast. He´s about to lose a big movie role and he agrees to do a indie film to polish his image. What he finds when he sets his foot at the film scene is something he never had dreamt of. Morgan is a young woman who lives and runs with Mustangs. She´s nearly a recluse and hasn´t talked to her half-siblings in years. And now her mother´s story is about to be told in a movie. Brody meets Morgan and he´s not only fascinated by her, he´s mesmerized. And he´s the only one who can understand her. Morgan is like a mustang herself, she´s wild and can´t be tamed. They´re from opposite worlds, they don´t fit in and heartbreak and devastation is on the horizon. She can´t leave and he won´t stay - they´re doomed. Bad Boy Brody is a story that will stay with you. I read the book a few days ago and I can´t get it out of my head. The characters stubbornly stay. You don´t have to like horses to love this book, but I promise after reading Bad Boy Brody you´ll love Mustangs too. Every time Tijan releases a new book, I´m giddy. Giddy because I know I´ll love her stories and the characters and I we simply " click ". I recommend the book and give 5 stars.

AN emotional whirlwind with an unique touch

I’m a huge fan of Tijan, I have every one of her books and loved all of them so I had huge expectations for this one as well. Still it was so unexpected in a good way. Bad boy Brody surprised me and it was quite different from the author usual stories. Oh, it still mainly focuses on the more traumatic spectrum of feelings and emotions but it’s interesting how much the fact that the plot is separate from the usual high school/college environment mixes up things and creates a completely different atmosphere. I absolutely loved it. I’m going to try and not spoil anything about the actual storyline but let me say this that the book has a certain tension to it yet he pacing is pretty laid back. I enjoyed every minute of it. It strange because while I knew that I going to like it, as I do with every Tijan book, the first chapter scared me a bit because it was kind of generic and not at all what I’m used to from the author. However, as I continued on the second things got definitely better and better. We got 2 broken and closed off main characters, whom for some reason gravitate towards each other from the first glimpse. They slowly open up for each other and find something that urge them to change and become something more. This book was utterly romantic, somewhat heart breaking and overly emotional. And while the main focus of the plot is basically the connection between the two characters you just know it from the beginning that there is something more sinister, cruel going on in the background. Alas the story would have been perfect just by following Morgan and Brody journey, but this underlying suspense gave the whole thing an extra nudge to it. Morgan was a strange but endearing character, someone who was more comfortable in the wilderness among her horses but it was kind of a protective mechanism of hers. She turned off her emotions so she doesn’t have to deal with it, the heartache and the loneliness. Honestly while I liked her most of the times, in other occasion I found her actions a bit standoffish and inconsiderate, while she was brutally honest with her intentions she was a bit cold towards others. Then there was Brody, who was constantly described as Bad Boy Brody, which was strange because we didn’t really see this side of him in the book. Yes, he drinks a lot but other than that he is pretty straight-laced. He was intrigued by Morgan from the first moment and the connection between them was beautifully phenomenal. They kind of existed on a different plane thorough the whole book. This book was utterly enchanting, sweet and romantic. It was emotional but still less dramatic than you would expect from Tijan, but I liked it more for it. The last couple of chapters throw me off a bit but in the end I understood why there was a loop in the plot line.

    4.5 Mighty mustangy stars

This is only my third book by Tijan and I can honestly say, hand on heart, it’s the best one yet!! Truly an amazing story and a wonderful book to spent a few rainy hours with. Yeah, it wasn’t a nice weather day when I started reading this one. But, the story pulled me in and I got lost between the pages of my kindle and forgot about anything as mundane as wind and rain. Bad Boy Brody had it all for me. It spoke to my inner child who loved horses beyond reason and I love a great, emotional love story. Add in the Hollywood bad boy and I was a happy chick. Brody, for all he was portrayed as a bad boy, he grabbed me and dug under my skin. I was taken by him from the second he started talking. Amd Morgan? Gosh, what as strong woman she was. Her emotional connection to her mustangs bleed through my kindle and made me want to be that girl I used to be. When these two came together it was a wondrous thing. Their connection went beyond the physical, it was so intense. I loved how charming Brody could be when he wanted to let his soft side shine. This wild, but hard-working man stole my heart, smushed it up, then mended it before giving it back. I just loved every single second of the raw, powerful emotion filled book and wish there could have been more. No doubt about it. This is a MUST READ for all Tijan fans, and for those new to her, take a chance. You won’t be sorry.

    Unique, beautiful, and wild

Bad Boy Brody is a complete standalone novel. If you follow my reviews then you know I like to go in blind when I have loved the author’s novels in the past, Tijan is one of those authors. I am going to make this short because I don’t want to spoil anything. At all. Brody needed to get away from Hollywood. He needed to build his career not his bad reputation. That was why he was in Montana on the set of an indie movie about a loving couple and a murder. He thought it was going to be an easy few weeks away from the paparazzi. What he didn’t know was that it would change his life. Ok. Well, that’s all I can really say about the storyline. I will say that’s it’s a beautiful story set in a magnificent surrounding. The characters are raw, wild, and untamable. The story is unique. The writing is addicting. Overall...I highly recommend reading this story! It’s different and that is what I loved about it. I felt like I was out there in the wild with the characters. Felt the fresh air. Felt the characters passion for each other and their other passions. Quotes: “Talking to people seems pointless to me.” “This won’t be a stupid mistake. I promise.” His eyes found mine. “Oh. Hey.” He sat back and combed his fingers through his hair. “Fancy meeting you here.”
