    Thanks for your feedback!

    Poor showing for FNQ.

As a musician living in North Queesland, I was quite excited to read this story and lap up all the local references. Sadly, it reads more like a travelogue in places and references to the local music industry are for the most part, quite unrealistic. For me however, it's the dialogue that ruins it. People just dont speak like that; certainly not up here. I understand that some of the plot points must come from the dialogue but please, can we have a little more realistic banter. I don't know if all of Di's books are like this but I don't reckon I'll find out. Other readers' experiences may vary.

Di Morrisey is such a brilliant writer, her words paint a picture and you feel as you're really there experiencing everything. So full of intrigue and suspense - couldn't put this book down.

    Australian family story

A story about a family as told by the two characters (brother and sister). it was a good story on the whole but I never really connected with the characters. Read it to the end and felt it was a good conclusion.
