    Thanks for your feedback!

    Star Trek meets Jurassic Park!

This is my favourite Sci-fi adventure of the year. A perfect blend of action and romance! Esra Weaver is an exo-geologist who signed up for an intergalactic mining mission which has gone horribly wrong. What follows has shades of Tomb Raider taking on Jurassic Park, with a bit of E.T. homesickness, and a lot Star Trek diplomacy, except much much smarter! I loved Esra so much! She fights off the ginormous flying insects, murderous creepy crawling vines, and dodges bloodthirsty dino-reptiles that inhabit the planet. (If I was ever stranded, I want her V.L. Holt designed astrosuit!) But, as strong-willed and resilient as she is, Esra would be just another link in the food chain if she didn’t find an ally. That’s where Naraxthel comes in. Tall, muscular, agile, courageous and possessing some pretty impressive tech himself, Naraxthel is a cool drink of water to poor castaway Esra. He’s a hunter who has been sent to the planet on a deadly mission and has taken an interest in the little intruder. But first, they need to communicate. I was captivated by their process of finding common ground and figuring out basic alien linguistics. It was reminiscent of Tolkien; thoroughly intelligent. Predator Planet represents incredible world building. From the description of the flora and fauna, to the technology and language and culture, everything is fascinatingly detailed. There is so much to love about it! Vicky Holt has an incredible imagination. Read this and totally lose yourself in another world. Book 1 is all about Esra and Naraxthel, but he’s got four fellow hunters sentenced to the same “mission” and Esra may have some fellow castaways who need saving. Can’t wait! 5 “sister sun”☀️+☀️ Stars!
